Campo de Gibraltar comarca · No. 2 · Sunday 4 October 2026 · 6-minute read

The 5.5 million Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro sports hall closes its tender on 19 October

Of every 100 euros now out to open tender in the Campo de Gibraltar comarca, 91.9 belong to San Roque's indoor sports hall, tendered at 5,547,659 euros excluding VAT. A further 13 works, tendered at 12,536,508 euros excluding VAT, are now past their deadline and are waiting for the public body to choose a company, and the Port of Algeciras lorry esplanade has been in that position for 89 days. Castellar de la Frontera brings a new municipal building to tender, while in Algeciras a property firm is founded, endowed with 120,000 euros.

San Roque's sports hall dwarfs the other five open works

How many days are left to submit an offer
  • San Roque will build an indoor sports hall with site development and car parks. The Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro sports hall is tendered at 5,547,659 euros excluding VAT, that is, before tax, and takes offers until 19 October. A licitación is a public tender, in which companies bid to carry out works or a service. The 6 open in the Campo de Gibraltar comarca add up to 6,035,177 euros excluding VAT and this one alone accounts for 91.9 per cent.
  • A new municipal building is up for tender in Castellar de la Frontera. On 2 October the town council published the works for a building to provide municipal services, tendered at 297,521 euros excluding VAT. It accepts offers until 26 October.
  • Algeciras repairs three streets on a housing estate. On 30 September it published the repair of Urano, Neptuno and Plutón streets, tendered at 40,535 euros excluding VAT and with offers until 15 October. The sports court at the Santa Teresa school, tendered at 123,967 euros excluding VAT, was published on 28 September, its deadline closed on 1 October and it now counts among the 13 works waiting for a company.

The museum and the heliport in Algeciras already know the 2 companies doing their works

Who will carry out the works already awarded in previous weeks
  • The municipal museum of Algeciras has found who will change its skylight. This week the city council recorded as resolved the replacement of the translucent panels on the museum roof, tendered at 41,409 euros excluding VAT, which means that the tender is over and the contract has been closed. The company is RODORCUB S.L. Together with those of previous weeks, the Campo de Gibraltar comarca has 12 contracts awarded, with the company already chosen, or resolved, tendered at 7,671,545 euros excluding VAT.
  • The Algeciras heliport renews its public toilets. Aena, the company that runs Spain's state network of airports and heliports, commissions INSTALACIONES LIRIO SL to deliver the electric taps and the air extraction, a contract tendered at 13,661 euros excluding VAT. At the same heliport, ELECNOR SERVICIOS Y PROYECTOS SAU has the fire extinguishing system, tendered at 82,800 euros.
  • The university buildings in Algeciras close their tender with no company name published. The file for roofs, façades and joinery, tendered at 606,600 euros excluding VAT, has appeared as resolved since this week, but the Plataforma de Contratación, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders for works and services, does not yet say which company will do it. Nor does it for the repair of the town hall building, tendered at 53,334.
  • Another seven works have had a company since previous weeks. They are Plaza de la Constitución and two lifts in La Línea de la Concepción, the signage and some refurbishments in lots in Los Barrios, and from the port a quay, a waiting room and the fishing quay in Tarifa.

A commercial unit of 69 metres in Algeciras closes bidding on Monday and San Roque offers an 86-metre home

Two auctions open to bids and two already closed
  • The Algeciras commercial unit reaches its last day on Monday 5 October. It is a court auction, a public sale ordered by a court. It is held on the Portal de Subastas, the BOE's official website where courts and public bodies auction property. The BOE is the Boletín Oficial del Estado, Spain's Official State Gazette, which publishes laws and official notices. On offer is a commercial unit of 69 usable metres, open-plan and with no internal layout. In its building, from 1990, the median CasasValue of a home is 391,266 euros. CasasValue is the value CASAS.ES estimates for every home.
  • In San Roque, an 86-metre home accepts bidders until 14 October. The home has 86 built metres, three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, bathroom and two terraces, one of them a utility area.
  • La Línea de la Concepción and Los Barrios have already seen theirs close. The industrial unit in La Línea, open-plan, with a basement for parking and on an industrial estate, ended on 28 September and the home in Los Barrios, on the 30th. Neither of the two notices gives the metres.

An Algeciras property firm starts with 120,000 euros and gathers nearly all of the capital newly registered

Housing and building take almost all the new capital
  • NASS LIVINGS SL starts out in Algeciras with 120,000 euros. The BORME of 1 October, the Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies, capital changes and closures are published, registers this company to buy, sell, let and develop property. Its 120,000 euros are share capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company, not its turnover. They amount to 86.9 per cent of the 138,100 euros that the 7 new companies in the Campo de Gibraltar comarca add up to.
  • Metal structures and installations launch a company in San Roque. The BORME of 2 October records a company with 3,000 euros of capital for installations on building sites, steel tubes and the construction of residential buildings. It bears a person's name and we do not publish it.
  • The other five cover very different trades. ICARIA ABOGADOS SLP and a training academy in Algeciras, MONNEXUS SL, in textile retail, in San Roque, ALASH GAMES SL, in board games, in La Línea de la Concepción, and MIM72 SL, which will make motorcycles from Tarifa.

From 26 September to 3 October, San Roque went on taking offers for its Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro sports hall, Castellar de la Frontera published the tender for a new municipal building and Algeciras put out the repair of three streets and saw the contracts for the museum, the heliport and the university buildings resolved. Algeciras, San Roque, La Línea de la Concepción and Los Barrios share the thirteen works waiting for a company, and in the last two, two auctions ended. Still open to bidders are the one for the Algeciras commercial unit and the one for the San Roque home. Tarifa contributed a motorcycle maker to the 7 companies registered, alongside Algeciras, San Roque and La Línea de la Concepción. Jimena de la Frontera and San Martín del Tesorillo registered nothing new of their own.
