Campo de Gibraltar comarca · No. 3 · Sunday 11 October 2026 · 7-minute read

Four firms will resurface Algeciras, nearly half of the 10.8 million in works settled this week

The resurfacing of Algeciras, shared among four firms, accounts for 45.8 of every 100 euros in works awarded or closed these past days across the whole Campo de Gibraltar comarca. EIFFAGE INFRAESTRUCTURAS, among the four, already had an urban renovation in La Línea de la Concepción, and the two works where it appears come close to 9 million in tender value. The indoor sports hall in Guadiaro, in San Roque, the biggest job still open, will take proposals until Monday 19, a San Roque home at auction runs its bidding down to Wednesday 14 and Los Barrios welcomes two food service firms with 50,000 euros each.

Algeciras entrusts its road surface repairs to four contractors, tendered at 4,947,025 euros excluding VAT

Algeciras adds up 5,401,571 euros across three works
  • The resurfacing after the run of storms now has four contractors. Algeciras city council has completed the award, the step in which the public body chooses the company that will do the work, for the plan to resurface its roads. It goes to EIFFAGE INFRAESTRUCTURAS, CONSTRUCCIONES MAYGAR, ASFALTOS GARRUCHO and PREVENTOR. The notice gives only the tender amount, excluding VAT, that is, before tax. It is the largest of the six works awarded or closed this week, which total 10,793,852 euros in tender value. EIFFAGE INFRAESTRUCTURAS is also on record in the Plaza de la Constitución in La Línea de la Concepción, an earlier file tendered at 4,051,489 euros excluding VAT, and the two works together reach 8,998,514 euros.
  • A contractor is now signed up for Fuentenueva park. The works to restore the Fuentenueva public park, in Algeciras, went out to public tender, a process in which companies bid to carry out works or a service, at 123,967 euros. The file is shown as resolved, meaning the tender is over and the contract has been closed, and its official record already names the company.
  • Palmones marks the pipe replacement as closed. ARCGISA, the publicly owned water and waste company of the Mancomunidad de Municipios del Campo de Gibraltar, a grouping of town councils that provide a service together, such as water or waste collection, has closed the replacement of the sewerage and water supply networks in five streets of Palmones, in Los Barrios, a job of 272,224 euros. The Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders for works and services, does not yet name the company.
  • The pavements lifted by tree roots are still under review. Another job from the run of storms, the repair and reinforcement of pavements damaged by roots, worth 330,579 euros, remains under assessment, which means the public body is studying the bids.

Thursday 15 brings the first deadline among five works and a plot sale, and the works total 6,506,805 euros excluding VAT

Bids for a San Roque home with 86 built metres can be placed no later than Wednesday 14

How the court notice describes the San Roque home
  • Bidding in San Roque ends on Wednesday 14. The home is in a court auction, a public sale ordered by a court, on the Portal de Subastas, the official website of the BOE, the Boletín Oficial del Estado or Official State Gazette of Spain, where anyone who registers can bid. It has 86 built metres and stands in a neighbourhood of San Roque. No CasasValue has been published for its building. Open to bids since September, it is the only live auction.
  • In Algeciras, the premises with 69 usable metres have already finished their auction. The commercial premises, open plan and with no internal layout, stopped taking bids on 5 October. In its building, from 1990, the median CasasValue of a home is 391,266 euros. CasasValue is the value CASAS.ES estimates for every home and here it only gives context for the building, not for the premises.

Eleven companies just created gather 124,111 euros and six are geared to building or the property business

Los Barrios brings together 103,100 of the 124,111 new euros
  • San Roque registers three firms linked to construction. The BORME, the Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil or Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where the birth of every company is published, lists on 6 October LINEA OBRERA ALEDANI SL, in bricklaying and finishes, with 3,011 euros of share capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company, and ALTIVA BIENES SL, in property sales and building construction. On the 9th they are joined by GOCA PALMERAS SL, in engineering, lettings and property brokerage.
  • Algeciras gains a developer plus a property management firm. ESTUDIO ALGECIRAS COSTA 10 SL is set up for property development and COMMUNITAS ADMINISTRADORES DE FINCAS SL to develop, build and broker. Both start with 3,000 euros, the same as ALTIVA BIENES and GOCA PALMERAS. With JIMENA SISTEMAS CONSTRUCTIVOS SL, from Los Barrios, that makes six new clients for agents and suppliers, four in property and two in construction.
  • Two hospitality businesses in Los Barrios contribute 100,000 euros. They are two food service companies, for restaurants and prepared meals, registered on 7 October and on the 9th, with 50,000 euros each. Together they put in four of every five euros of the week's capital. The same municipality sees the birth of LA BALLENA PALMONES SL, which sells fuel and washes vehicles.
  • La Línea de la Concepción contributes a services company. AERIA UAS SL is incorporated with 3,000 euros to provide business support and wholesale trade. Another company in business support, with the same capital, completes the three from Algeciras.
  • Regional grants open up for students on work placements and almond growers. The Consejería de Desarrollo Educativo y Formación Profesional announces travel grants for students doing their training in workplaces, and the agriculture department announces its own for holders of almond farms. They apply across Andalucía and are recorded in the BDNS, the Base de Datos Nacional de Subvenciones or National Grants Database, the public register where every administration announces its grants. Requirements, amounts and deadlines are on each official record. The Agencia Andaluza de Instituciones Culturales published another resolution for culture in rural areas, without making clear whether it accepts applications.

From 3 to 10 October, Algeciras saw its municipal resurfacing awarded and the Fuentenueva park closed, and opened a tender for Salamanca and Salesianos streets. Los Barrios marked the Palmones pipes as closed and led the new company capital with two food service firms. La Línea de la Concepción announced repairs to municipal roofs and San Roque keeps two deadlines running, the Guadiaro hall plus the auctioned home. Castellar de la Frontera still has its new municipal building out to tender, San Martín del Tesorillo still has no firm for the multi-use building it plans and Tarifa has the electrification of its fishing quay among the port works already contracted. The Andalusian government published grants for students on work placements and for almond growers. Jimena de la Frontera is absent from every file this week.
