Four new firms start life on 21,000 euros in the Baix Empordà comarca and Palafrugell supplies 12,000
In the Baix Empordà comarca four companies came into being over the week, and a Palafrugell estate agency heads them with 12,000 euros of capital. Six of the 27 direct grants that the Girona provincial government published on 28 September carry the name of a town in the comarca, from Sant Feliu de Guíxols to Vilopriu, and in Palamós and Torroella de Montgrí six properties are put up for sale by the courts.
Begur, Palafrugell, Sant Feliu and Santa Cristina d'Aro see 4 companies born with 21,000 euros between them

- Palafrugell's newest estate agency starts out on 12,000 euros of capital. EMPORDA PROPERTIES ASESORIA E INMOBILIARIA SOCIEDAD LIMITADA was incorporated according to the BORME of 24 September, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies, capital changes and closures must be published by law. It acts as an intermediary in the sale and letting of property, and it is the company in the comarca with the most share capital this week, the money the partners put in when founding the company, not its turnover.
- Santa Cristina d'Aro gains a building structures workshop. A limited company devoted to building structures, named after its partners, starts out with 3,000 euros, according to the BORME of 29 September. Together with the one in Palafrugell and the one in Begur, that makes three of the four new companies linked to housing or building work.
- Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Begur complete the list. A company buying and selling industrial machinery in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, published in the BORME of 29 September, and VILA 9 BEGUR SOCIEDAD LIMITADA, a Begur company that buys, sells, lets, builds and develops property, published in the BORME of 30 September, start out with 3,000 euros each.
Six direct provincial grants name towns in the comarca and libraries get a funding round for building works

- Six towns in the comarca give their name to direct provincial grants. The Diputació de Girona, the provincial council, which mainly serves small towns, published 27 direct grants on 28 September. Six carry the name of a town in the comarca: Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Regencós, Rupià, Vilopriu, Albons and Mont-ras. The amount is on each record.
- Municipal libraries get a funding round for building works. On 25 September the Diputació opened a call for refurbishment, improvement and maintenance works on public reading facilities, the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant. It matters to town councils and to the builders that carry out public works. The deadline is on the official record.
- Shops and workforces in the comarca have money for 2026. The Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de Catalunya published its call for retail and services on 29 September. On the 25th the Consorci per a la Formació Contínua de Catalunya opened line A, for training plans submitted by the company itself, and line B, for courses run by organisations and aimed at companies with fewer than 50 workers. Requirements and deadlines are on each record.
- Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Palamós launch their own grant schemes. Sant Feliu de Guíxols hands out 39,250 euros to digitise, buy and share school materials, which organisations with no economic activity apply for, not families, within 20 working days of its notice in the provincial gazette. Palamós signs a 15,000 euro agreement with a circus arts foundation.
- Residents' groups on public housing estates have until 6 November. The Generalitat shares out 200,000 euros among projects by residents' associations in neighbourhoods of homes managed by the Agència de l'Habitatge de Catalunya. The window to apply closes on 6 November.
In Palamós and Torroella de Montgrí the courts are selling six properties while bids for the Palamós home stop on Monday

- Five Palamós parking spaces are bundled into one court file. The court auction, a public sale ordered by a court, opened on 25 September and takes bids until 15 October. The five spaces are assets in a single lot on the Portal de Subastas, the official website of Spain's Official State Gazette where courts and public bodies auction property and anyone who registers can bid. The auction record gives no floor area in metres.
- Torroella de Montgrí auctions another home until 15 October. The court auction opened on 25 September, also with no floor area on the record. Auction record.
- A Palamós home stays open to bids only until Monday 5 October. It has been on the Portal de Subastas since 15 September. Auction record.
- Bids for the Regencós home are already over, since the 30th. It was open from 10 September. The record is still on the Portal de Subastas.
