Twelve open auctions give the Alcoy comarca the day's record, among them a 2,087 square metre plot

The Alcoy comarca has twelve property auctions open, a total unmatched by any other comarca publishing today. Seven of those lie within Alcoi's municipal area, which is to say the city of Alcoi itself, all closing on 14 October, from a 2,087 square metre plot to a two-storey commercial unit of 925 square metres. Onil has contractors for the lift and the canteen of two schools, Alcoi Hospital has one for its warehouse, and in Ibi a newly formed building contractor launches with 22,000 euros of capital.

• The city of Alcoi opens seven auctions at once, all closing on 14 October. The Portal de Subastas, the official website of the BOE, Spain's Official State Gazette (Boletín Oficial del Estado), where courts and public bodies auction property and anyone who registers can bid, opened seven property auctions in the city of Alcoi on 24 September, each with its own notice and all closing on 14 October. The largest is a 2,087 square metre plot with 1,565 square metres of buildable floor space, land for anyone looking to build in the city. Next come a two-storey commercial unit of 925 square metres and an industrial warehouse with no floor area in the notice. The fourth is a unit of commercial premises with 16 built square metres in a building of 14 homes from 1930 with a median CasasValue, the value CASAS.ES calculates for each home, of 46,518 euros.
• Three homes in Alcoi in buildings with a median CasasValue below 71,000 euros. The other three auctions in the city are a flat of 76 usable square metres in a block of 16 homes from 1958 with a median CasasValue of 70,209 euros, part of a house, of 30 square metres, in a building from 1920 with a median of 46,518 euros, and another home in a building of eight from 1955 whose median CasasValue, 41,358 euros, is the lowest of the 35 auctions with a CasasValue across the 21 comarcas of the day. All three also close on 14 October.
• The nearest bidding deadlines are on Monday 5 October, in Alcoi and in Ibi. Still open for bids since 15 September, as court auctions, a public sale ordered by a court, are a 56 square metre home in Alcoi, in a building of four homes from 1930 with a median CasasValue of 94,313 euros, and a flat in Ibi, in a block of 55 homes from 1977. Both end on 5 October. Another home in Alcoi, open for bids since 10 September, stopped taking bids on the 30th.
• Castalla, Onil and Ibi add three more homes to the list. In Castalla a house of 143 square metres spread over four levels is being auctioned, the only home in its building from 1970, and in Onil a house with 68 built square metres and a yard. Both opened on 23 September and close on 13 October. In Ibi, a home in a building of three homes from 2006, the newest on the list, takes bids until the 15th.

Onil finds contractors for a lift and a school canteen while the Hospital General commissions its warehouse

• Alcoi Hospital awards its new warehouse. The Alcoi Health Department (Departamento de Salud de Alcoi) appears this week on the Public Sector Procurement Platform (Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público), the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders, with the construction of a warehouse at the Hospital General Universitario Mare de Déu dels Lliris awarded to CONSTRUCCIONES, REHABILITACIONES, INSTALACIONES Y MANTENIMIENTOS. The award, the step in which the public body chooses the company that will do the work, settles a project tendered at 347,355.89 euros before VAT, that is, before tax. The same hospital has a contractor for the partial refurbishment of its Internal Medicine and Surgery wards, tendered at 50,231.41 euros before VAT.
• Two schools in Onil gain a lift and a canteen. Onil appears this week with a contractor for the lift at the CEIP Mare de Déu de la Salut, a state infant and primary school, for children aged 3 to 12, which LETUMUR SL will build and which was tendered at 88,167.43 euros before VAT, and for the refitting of rooms at the CEIP Sant Jaume to enlarge the canteen, in the hands of Evealia Levante and tendered at 54,360.19 euros before VAT. The town already had a contractor for the second phase of the Convento de Montserrat, tendered at 247,924.65 euros before VAT.
• The Font Dolça and the Barranco del Cint take most of the amount. The energy refurbishment of the 17 buildings and 166 homes of the Font Dolça, carried out by GESTASER, and the bridge over the Barranco del Cint, by CHM OBRAS E INFRAESTRUCTURAS SA, are Alcoi city council contracts awarded before this week, the bridge in 2024. With them, the seven contracts with a contractor in the comarca add up to 7.81 million tendered before VAT, and those two Alcoi projects are nine in every ten euros.

The Plaça de Dins wants bids until 14 October to renew its air conditioning for 304,657 euros before VAT

• Renewing the climate control of a health centre in Alcoi gives installers two more weeks of work. The Alcoi Health Department keeps open the refurbishment of the air conditioning system at the Plaça de Dins health centre (Centro de Salud Plaça de Dins), tendered at 304,657.12 euros before VAT, with bids accepted until 14 October. It is the only tender in the comarca with a live deadline and accounts for two in every three of the 463,692 euros waiting for a contractor.
• Banyeres de Mariola, Ibi and Alcoi are studying bids. Three tenders are waiting for a winning bidder. A tender is a public competition in which companies submit bids to carry out works or a service. The extension of the Banyeres de Mariola cemetery with 148 niches closed its deadline on 31 July, the backup generator at the Ibi-1 health centre (Centro de Salud Ibi-1) on 31 August and the clearing and cleaning of the Alcoi municipal road network on 8 September. All three are under assessment, meaning the public body is studying the bids and has not yet chosen a company.

Ibi gives birth to a building firm with 22,000 euros, 65 % of all the capital put in by new companies

• Ibi gains a new building firm. NEXO OBRAS GESTION Y DESARROLLO was born in Ibi with 22,000 euros of share capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company, according to the BORME of 24 September, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies must be published by law. That is 65 % of the 34,000 euros declared by the four companies set up in the comarca during the week.
• Alcoi and Castalla complete the list with minimum capital. In Alcoi, ORO PALET 2026 was registered with 6,000 euros (BORME of 23 September), along with another company of 3,000 euros whose name is that of a person. In Castalla, AZUL OSCURO CASI NEGRO did the same, also with 3,000 euros (BORME of 24 September).

Castalla hands out nine earmarked grants and the Generalitat opens others for young farmers, researchers and the performing arts

• Young farmers and researchers have new grants they can go for. The Valencian Agricultural Development and Guarantee Agency (Agencia Valenciana de Fomento y Garantía Agraria) issued a call by resolution of 25 September for grants to help young people and new farmers set up in the Valencian Community. The regional Department of Education, Culture and Universities (Conselleria de Educación, Cultura y Universidades) published on the 23rd the call for the Plan GenT for 2027, the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant, which subsidises hiring and giving stable posts to researchers and innovators, and the Valencian Institute of Culture (Institut Valencià de Cultura) opens grants for the performing arts for 2026, from writing to residencies. Who can apply for each and until when is set out in its entry in the BDNS, the National Grants Database.
• Castalla and the Generalitat give grants with a fixed recipient. Castalla town council (Ayuntamiento de Castalla) approved nine earmarked grants, grants that already have a named recipient, for clubs and associations in the town, from the Agrupación Comparsa Moros y Cristianos to Club Futbol Castalla. The regional Secretariat for Communication (Secretaría Autonómica de Comunicación) granted on 22 September a direct grant to the association of advertising communication companies of the Valencian Community. These are not open calls. It is money that goes to recipients already named.

The Alcoy comarca ends September with twelve property auctions open, a figure no other comarca publishing on 1 October matches. Nine of the thirteen auctions on the list, including the one that closed on 30 September, have the property in Alcoi, ranging from a 2,087 square metre plot to a two-storey commercial unit of 925 square metres, plus a warehouse. Ibi adds two auctioned homes and the newly formed company holding the largest capital, Castalla and Onil one house each, and Onil also has contractors for the lift and the canteen of two schools. Banyeres de Mariola is waiting for a winning bidder for 148 new cemetery niches. Tibi, Penàguila and Benifallim record neither auctions nor tenders nor company launches this week.
