Asphalt firm Bitum is named in 3 of the 4 works listing a company among those updated from 5 to 9 October

Across Vega de Granada comarca, among the municipal works updated from Monday 5 to Friday 9 that already show a contractor, almost 9 of every 10 euros tendered belong to works where the asphalt firm Bitum appears, one in Las Gabias and two in Cenes de la Vega. Three auctions in Peligros close on Tuesday 13 and eight works continue to take bids.

The Carlos Cano road in Las Gabias, tendered at 1,487,603 euros, lands its first contractor while Bitum adds two streets in Cenes

Five works with news in one week, four already with a contractor
  • Las Gabias learns which firms are to widen the Carlos Cano road. The widening of the road now has a contractor. It will be carried out by the joint venture of Bitum Asfaltos e Infraestructuras and Vialex Constructora Aragonesa. The town council put it out to licitación, a public tender in which companies submit bids, at 1,487,603 euros sin IVA, meaning before VAT, its maximum budget. The project has passed the adjudicación, the step in which the public body chooses the company that will do the work. It is published by the Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders for works and services. It is the largest project in the Vega de Granada comarca to show a contractor this week.
  • The same asphalt firm appears in two paving jobs in Cenes de la Vega. Bitum also appears in Calle Trébol, the Cuesta del Cerrillo and the Camino Viejo de Güéjar, tendered at 80,952 euros, and in Calle Arco and the same camino, at 69,080. The three works together add up to 1,637,635 euros in tender value, 87.7 per cent of the amount tendered in the four that show a contractor this week. Of every 10 euros in those four works, almost 9 belong to works where Bitum is present, alone or with another company.
  • Vegas del Genil commissions its Centro Integral de Seguridad y Emergencias. The remodelling of the municipal building that will house it is listed as awarded to Conservaciones y Reparaciones Puligran and went out to tender at 230,176 euros.
  • Ogíjares settles its municipal theatre tender. The performance venue on Calle Cruces, tendered at 2,409,750 euros, is the largest figure of the week and is listed as resolved on the Plataforma, which indicates that the tender is over and the contract has been closed, although it does not yet publish the name of any company. With it, the five works with news add up to 4,277,561 euros in tender value. From the same town council, the sale of a municipal plot is listed as awarded, with no buyer name published.

Seven of the week's twelve calls can be applied for

Both are regional, so anyone who meets the requirements in any of the 41 municipalities of the comarca can apply for them.
