Only Paredes de Escalona puts out new works in the Torrijos comarca, 152,058 euros for its solar plant

The Torrijos comarca launched just one works contract between 5 and 12 October, the photovoltaic wiring in Paredes de Escalona, while La Puebla de Montalbán is still assessing bids whose deadline closed more than four years ago. Novés is accepting proposals for its golf course until Friday 16, and any individual without a business activity has until 30 November and can seek a share of the 50 million euros the region offers for refurbishment.

Paredes, 7.6 per cent of everything tendered in the comarca

In Paredes de Escalona, electrical installers interested in the municipal photovoltaic plant can bid until 7 November. On 5 October the full council (Pleno) put the electrical installation of its self-consumption solar plant out to tender, meaning a public contest in which companies bid to do the works. It is tendered at 152,058 euros before VAT.
Torrijos town council has settled who will fit its municipal buildings with heating, cooling and solar panels. The council's governing board (Junta de Gobierno) has completed the award, the step in which the public body chooses who does the work, of the climate control and solar panel contract for its buildings, tendered at 524,639.28 euros before VAT. The Plataforma de Contratación, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders, does not yet name the company.

La Puebla and Méntrida add up to almost double the rest

Méntrida is accepting proposals until today, Tuesday 13, to pave the second stretch of Félix Arranz. On 21 September the Junta de Gobierno Local, the town's governing board, published the paving of the second phase of Avenida Félix Arranz, tendered at 246,047.68 euros before VAT. It is the largest of the three tenders with bidding still open in the comarca, with 50.2 per cent of the 489,881.05 euros the three add up to.
Friday 16 is the last chance to bid to renew the golf course pipes in Novés. The Mayor's Office in Novés is looking for a company for the replacement of the golf course water pipes, tendered at 91,775.37 euros before VAT.
Four tenders that closed on 8 and 9 October have no published builder yet. Together they come to 436,371.67 euros before VAT, and the largest is the pavement renewal in La Puebla de Montalbán. Albarreal de Tajo closed both phases of the pedestrian improvement linking the housing estate with the village, the first and the second, and Novés closed the one for the paving next to the church.

Six of 14 tenders already awarded or resolved

In La Puebla de Montalbán, works on the municipal flats for elderly residents closed their window for proposals on 14 September 2022. The Mayor's Office published the improvement and repair of the municipal building of homes for older people on 30 August 2022, tendered at 70,858.71 euros before VAT. Over four years on, the Platform still lists it as under assessment, meaning the bids are being studied and no company has been chosen.
Three town councils now know which firms will repair their streets, pavements and roads. ENTORNO OBRAS Y SERVICIOS, SL has been awarded the resurfacing of the streets of Dehesa del Caño, in Méntrida, tendered at 284,031.78 euros before VAT. In Nombela, MOVIMIENTOS Y EXCAVACIONES DOBLE R, S.L. is listed on the repair of the rural roads, already resolved, meaning the tender is over and the contract has been closed. PAVIMENTOS SOLADOS Y FIRMES SL holds phase I and phase II of the water and pavement works on Calle Eras in Santo Domingo-Caudilla, 93,176.15 euros between the two.
In Huecas, the file to pave one of its streets appears as resolved. The renewal of the paving on Calle Vereda de los Monjes is tendered at 53,379.98 euros before VAT. The Platform marks it as resolved, with no company published yet.

Just one new company, against five the week before

Private individuals without a business activity can seek money to refurbish their home and improve its energy efficiency until 30 November. On 7 October the Castilla-La Mancha housing department (Dirección General de Vivienda) published call 933977, the notice that opens the window to apply, in the Base de Datos Nacional de Subvenciones, the public register of grants. It shares out 50,000,000 euros for the whole region, co-funded by FEDER, the European Regional Development Fund, EU money to narrow the gaps between regions. Applications open ten working days, excluding weekends and public holidays, after publication in the Diario Oficial de Castilla-La Mancha, the regional gazette, and close on 30 November 2026.

MAQUINARIA E INDUSTRIA FOTOVOLTAICA SL starts up in Santa Cruz del Retamar with 45,000 euros of capital. The BORME, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies must be published by law, recorded its incorporation on 8 October. Capital is the money the partners put in, not turnover. It will wholesale machinery for mining, construction and civil engineering and will make metal structures.

From Monday 5 to Monday 12 October, the Torrijos comarca added just one new works contract, the municipal photovoltaic wiring in Paredes de Escalona. Méntrida closes the open tender for its main avenue today and already knows which company is to pave Dehesa del Caño. Novés is waiting for builders until Friday for the golf course, and its church paving tender is now closed. La Puebla de Montalbán and Albarreal de Tajo closed their tenders for pavements and a pedestrian path, and La Puebla has kept its elderly flats project under assessment since 2022. Nombela has a builder, as does Santo Domingo-Caudilla, Huecas shows a paving file as resolved and Torrijos town council has awarded the contract to heat and cool its buildings and fit them with panels. Santa Cruz del Retamar was alone in registering a new company. Otero, Maqueda, Carmena, La Mata, Alcabón, Burujón, Erustes, Rielves, Almorox, Camarena, Escalona, Hormigos, Barcience, Gerindote, Garciotum, Quismondo, Carriches, Fuensalida, Pelahustán, Arcicóllar, Nuño Gómez, Camarenilla, Escalonilla, Santa Olalla, Aldea en Cabo, Domingo Pérez, Mesegar de Tajo, El Carpio de Tajo, Portillo de Toledo, Villamiel de Toledo, El Casar de Escalona and La Torre de Esteban Hambrán had neither contracts nor newly registered firms during that period. There too, any private individual without a business activity may seek the regional refurbishment money.
