Linares city council holds 45 per cent of the Sierra Morena comarca's 916,040 euros in open works

The Casa de la Cultura run by Linares city council, tendered at 411,863 euros before VAT, is close to half of the amount the Sierra Morena comarca has open to bids, and Baños de la Encina adds up to 356,656 euros between its tower and its land-use plan, more than La Carolina and Bailén together. Starting 22 October, Andalusia distributes 20.77 million euros for energy in homes and buildings, 72 of every 100 euros for households, and two court auctions remain open, a 67 square metre home in Linares and a 1.09 hectare olive grove in Carboneros.

Linares tenders its Casa de la Cultura for 411,863 euros and Baños de la Encina its tower

Three open works and two settled contracts

The largest open works are in Linares. Linares city council is tendering the refurbishment of the Casa de la Cultura for 411,863 euros before VAT, a project in its integrated action plan funded through the EDIL programme. The file was published on 10 September and accepts bids until the 30th. It is 45 per cent of the 916,040 euros before VAT that the comarca has open to bids.
A tower and a plan for Baños de la Encina. Baños de la Encina is looking for a contractor for 206,656 euros before VAT to rebuild the Torreón Poblaciones Dávalos and its adjoining building, in a file published on 14 September with bids until 5 October. Its 150,000 euros before VAT contract to draft the Plan Básico de Ordenación Municipal, the planning instrument that Andalusia's land law provides for small towns, and the special plan to protect its historic heritage is also settled, last updated on 22 September. That plan will set where and how building is allowed in the town, which adds up to 356,656 euros between the two pieces, more than La Carolina and Bailén together.
Jabalquinto closes on Monday. Jabalquinto is tendering the renewal of the artificial turf at the Tomás García Velasco football pitch for 297,521 euros before VAT. The file was published on 7 September and bids are accepted until Monday 28.
New tarmac for La Carolina. Since 15 September La Carolina has settled the asphalt resurfacing of municipal roads, for 227,846 euros before VAT, in favour of Tuccitana de Contratas.

Installers and households in the Sierra Morena comarca can apply from 22 October for 20.77 million euros in Andalusian energy grants

Money for installers and refurbishers. On 22 October the Andalusian Energy Agency opens two lines for companies and the self-employed working on homes and buildings, 3.85 million for energy efficiency and 2.02 million for renewables. Together they total 5.87 million, and applications can be made until 30 September 2027 or until the Agency declares them closed.
Households get the largest line. For individuals and organisations with no economic activity, the Andalusian government opens on the same 22 October a grant line for renewables and efficiency in homes and buildings worth 14.9 million euros. With the two lines for companies the total is 20.77 million, and households take 72 per cent, a flow of work for the comarca's installers.
The Jaén provincial council backs training for vulnerable groups. On 21 September the Diputación de Jaén, the provincial council, published four calls offering incentives to take part in its integrated projects for vulnerable groups, two on entrepreneurship (project 58859 and project 58853), one on basic customer service and one on electronic circuit board assembly. Requirements and amounts are set out in each call.
A new company in Bailén. On 22 September a hospitality company was registered in Bailén with 3,000 euros of capital, for bars, restaurants and cafés. It is the only new company in the comarca this week.

A 67 square metre home in Linares and an olive grove in Carboneros go to auction

A home in Linares until 1 October. The court auction of a home with 67 built square metres in Linares remains open. It opened on 11 September and accepts bids until 1 October.
An olive grove in Carboneros, new this week. On 23 September a court auction of four lots opened, and one of them is a 1.09 hectare olive grove with seventy olive trees in Carboneros, with bids until 13 October.

From 19 to 26 September, Linares, Jabalquinto and Baños de la Encina were taking bids on works, and the contract for the Baños de la Encina land-use plan is shown as settled, updated on 22 September. La Carolina has awarded its road resurfacing, Bailén registered a hospitality company, an olive grove in Carboneros reached the auction portal and bidding for a home remains open in Linares. Guarromán, Santa Elena and Aldeaquemada recorded no tendered works, no auction and no newly created company over that span, yet their companies and residents are eligible to request the regional energy grant lines.
