Andratx invites bids worth 985,481 euros for the Es Vinyet school solar roof until 20 October

Calvià, one town in the 13-municipality Serra de Tramuntana comarca, takes all eight firms incorporated in seven days. Four works projects await bids, led by the solar canopy in Andratx. Calvià also records five agreements worth 98,500 euros, and anyone wishing to bid for 3,400 square metres of countryside land in Pollença has until 7 October.

Andratx wants a contractor able to roof the Es Vinyet school sports courts with solar panels

  • A steel canopy fitted with solar panels will cover the school's sports courts. On 30 September Andratx town council published the works at CEIP Es Vinyet, a state infant and primary school, put out to tender for 985,481.34 euros sin IVA, that is, before VAT. A licitación is a public tender, in which companies bid to carry out works or a service. The photovoltaic canopy will supply power for the school's own use and bids are accepted until 20 October.
  • Esporles renews its sports centre with the very same deadline. The refurbishment of the sports centre, published on 28 September, goes out to tender with a budget of 147,029.56 euros. It accepts bids until the same 20 October.
  • A school in Esporles and a museum in Sóller are still looking for a contractor. The extension of CEIP Gabriel Comas i Ribas with a new covered sports court, worth 437,076.45 euros, accepts bids until 16 October. The lift for the Camp d'en Prohom municipal building, home to the Sóller Natural Science Museum, worth 114,673.05 euros, closes before any other, on Wednesday 7 October. The four open tenders add up to 1,684,260.40 euros before VAT and three are sports or school facilities.

Sóller chooses the firm to cool and heat the office floor of its market while seven contracts await a result

Nine contracts with a company and the six largest still waiting

Eight new companies choose Calvià and none of them lays a brick

From two to eight companies in Calvià
  • All eight start out with 3,000 euros each. The BORME, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies must be published by law, published 2 on 28 September, 4 on 30 September and 2 on 1 October. Together they hold 24,000 euros of capital social, the money the partners put in when founding the company, and all eight are registered in Calvià. No other of the 13 municipalities in the comarca gained a new company.
  • Hospitality, boating and transport make the list. Gran Gastronomía SL and Villabanfield SL work in restaurants and hospitality. DPSI Int SL repairs engines, buys and sells boats and runs boat charters, and Brothers Travel & Tours SL carries passengers in chauffeur-driven vehicles.
  • Fashion, software and music complete the line-up. Matozzy Kids Boutique SL opens a fashion shop, Lueima Tech SL is set up for computer programming and Larry Prod SL for sound recording and music publishing. The eighth is a holding company, which manages stakes in other companies. None is a property or construction company.

Calvià registers five agreements worth 98,500 euros with hoteliers, mentors and Palma Aquarium

Five Calvià agreements and two direct grants
  • Calvià provides mentors for anyone starting a business. On 28 September the town council registered in the BDNS, the National Grants Database, the public register where every administration announces its grants, its agreement with SECOT Baleares, funded with 4,000 euros, to raise awareness among, train and mentor entrepreneurs and companies. SECOT stands for Seniors Españoles para la Cooperación Técnica, a Spanish organisation of older people. It is not a grant to apply for. The mentoring simply reaches the entrepreneur.
  • Three hotel associations will run the winter tourism season with 88,500 euros. The same day saw the registration of the agreements to run the Calvià 365 programme, a winter in Calvià, in 2026. The one with the hoteliers of Peguera and Cala Fornells has a budget of 46,000 euros, the one for Palmanova and Magaluf, of 26,500, and the one for the bay of Santa Ponça, of 16,000.
  • The fifth agreement looks to the coast. Calvià also registered an agreement with the Fundación Palma Aquarium, worth 6,000 euros, for environmental activities along the coast and support with wildlife sightings and rescues. The five agreements add up to 98,500 euros and none opens an application period.
  • Two further entries are closed to applications. They are direct grants, with the recipient already decided. One is for actions to help companies expand abroad. The other, from the Fondo de Garantía Agraria y Pesquera de las Islas Baleares, the Balearic agricultural and fisheries guarantee fund, goes to the Sociedad Española de Fitopatología for its 2026 congress.

The auction of 3,400 square metres of countryside land in Pollença is settled on Wednesday 7 October

Two rural plots in the north of the mountain range
  • Pollença's bidding has 2 days to run. The rural plot in Pollença is unirrigated farmland of 34 ares, that is, 3,400 square metres. Bidding has been open since 17 September and runs until Wednesday 7 October on the Portal de Subastas, the official website of the BOE, Spain's Official State Gazette, where courts and public bodies auction property and anyone who registers can bid. This auction is called by a public body, not a court. As it is rural land, there is no building CasasValue, the value CASAS.ES estimates for every home, to serve as a reference.
  • The Escorca one has already closed. The other rural plot, in Escorca, opened on 11 September and closed on 1 October. It was a subasta judicial, a public sale ordered by a court. The plot is made up of two portions separated by the Gorg Blau reservoir and the notice on the portal does not give its area.

The comarca of Serra de Tramuntana closed the week of 27 September to 4 October with Andratx putting out to tender a solar canopy over the sports courts of the Es Vinyet school and Esporles a revamp for the town sports centre, both with a deadline of 20 October. Sóller learned which company will air-condition the offices above the market, and awaits bids to install a lift at Camp d'en Prohom. Calvià recorded all eight of the comarca's new company registrations and five agreements, with SECOT, the hoteliers and the Fundación Palma Aquarium. Pollença is auctioning its unirrigated farmland until Wednesday 7 and Escorca, whose own auction has already ended, has the fire hydrants for its woodland area closed. Bunyola features for the cultural service closed at Raixa. With no file to their name these seven days are Estellencs, Banyalbufar, Deià, Fornalutx, Valldemossa and Puigpunyent.
