Measured in money, that single contract weighs 43.8 per cent within the nine tenders of the comarca. Navaconcejo and Jerte are waiting until Monday 19 for bids on mending rural tracks, at 512,105.77 euros before VAT.
Four tenders worth 1.25 million remain unawarded in Cabezuela del Valle, Montehermoso and the city of Plasencia

- Renewing street lights in the city of Plasencia, 973,727 euros, remains under study 117 days after bidding closed. The renewal of the municipal outdoor lighting of the city of Plasencia, tendered at 973,727.03 euros before VAT, is still being assessed: the public body is studying the bids and has not yet chosen a company. Bidding closed on 18 June, 117 days ago. It is the largest tender in progress in the comarca and 43.8 per cent of the 2.22 million tendered across its nine files.
- Montehermoso has two projects awaiting a contractor. The town council is studying the bids to refurbish two futsal courts at the sports centre, tendered at 129,136.42 euros before VAT, for which bidding closed on 4 October, and to install self-consumption solar panels on a municipal industrial building, tendered at 86,421.38.
- Cabezuela del Valle has closed the bidding window on San Antonio. The works around the San Antonio park, tendered at 59,500 euros before VAT, closed bidding on 30 September.
- A permit to look for heat beneath five municipalities puts its restoration plan out for consultation. The Diario Oficial de Extremadura, the gazette where the regional government publishes its rules and notices, corrected the notice for the geothermal resources research permit known as Plasencia, which covers Cabezabellosa, Casas del Castañar, Malpartida de Plasencia, Oliva de Plasencia and the city of Plasencia. In the same notice it opened the plan to restore the land to información pública, a procedure in which anyone may inspect the file and submit objections.
Navaconcejo and Jerte are seeking until 19 October someone to repair their rural tracks, 512,105.77 euros before VAT

- Navaconcejo's tracks still need a builder. Navaconcejo is accepting bids until 19 October to repair and improve the tracks in the municipality (file 480/2026). It is a public tender, in which companies bid to carry out works, at 332,460.18 euros before VAT, that is, before tax.
- Jerte is repairing two tracks in its municipality with the same deadline. Jerte town council has open until 19 October the tender for the camino del Rebollar and the camino Jerte del Cercao, tendered at 179,645.59 euros before VAT and paid for with grants from the Ministerio de Política Territorial (137/2026). Together the two tracks add up to 512,105.77 euros before VAT.
- Three companies have already won recent contracts. The company EOC24 Arquitectura y Construcción SL took the extension of the Santísimo Cristo del Valle care home in Navaconcejo, tendered at 384,973.50 euros before VAT. Recursos Forestales S.L. took phase 2 of the plaza de las Eras in Jerte, tendered at 44,183.61. And ARCO IRIS T.T. Suministros S.L.U. took the benches, illuminated letters and light-up almond tree of Tornavacas, tendered at 31,166.70.
The Cereza del Jerte, the elderly of Piornal and the Mirabel club, the only named recipients in the comarca among 47 grants

- Of 47 grants, only three mention anything in the comarca. The Base de Datos Nacional de Subvenciones, BDNS, the public register where every administration announces its grants, listed from 5 to 9 October 47 grants that reach the Plasencia comarca, 34 from bodies of the Junta de Extremadura and 13 from the Diputación de Cáceres. They cover the whole region or the whole province, and most already have a recipient outside the comarca, such as the town councils of Mérida, Badajoz or Coria. Only three name anything in the comarca in their title. One is the direct grant to the Denominación de Origen Protegida Cereza del Jerte, the label guaranteeing that a product comes from a specific area and follows set rules, published on 6 October by the Dirección General de Agricultura y Ganadería to cover the running costs of its regulatory council. No producer applies for it.
- Piornal and Mirabel have named money from the Diputación. The Diputación de Cáceres, the government of the province, published on 6 October a nominative grant to the La Laguna elderly association in Piornal, a grant earmarked for a named recipient, which nobody else can apply for, to buy sports equipment. Another goes to the pensioners club of Mirabel to organise the twenty-fifth gathering of elderly associations of the Mancomunidad Riberos del Tajo, a grouping of town councils that provide a service together.
- The Diputación also published two direct award schemes and some European grants. On 8 October the Diputación published the rules of a scheme for private companies in the industrial and technology sectors that fund training with an impact on employment in the province, and on 7 October another for comprehensive mancomunidades and minor local entities that analyse their cybersecurity weaknesses. Both are direct awards. On 5 October came the European research grants of the Premio Europeo Carlos V, from the Fundación Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste, for European studies.
