Six works in the Palencia comarca and only a 401,684 euro operating theatre excluding VAT still takes offers

The Palencia comarca is processing six public works that together were tendered at 1,204,222 euros, tax aside, and just one still accepts offers, operating theatre number 1 at the Hospital Río Carrión, in the city of Palencia, whose tender closes on 3 November. Two thirds of that money belongs to the operating theatre and to the city's pavements, tendered 1,512 euros apart. The council of the city of Palencia earmarks 46,000 euros for entrepreneurship, with applications admitted until Thursday 29 October. In Astudillo, the court-ordered duplex sees its bidding end on the 15th.

How long each step takes and how much money is behind it

The Río Carrión opens a tender to refurbish operating theatre number 1. The refurbishment of operating theatre number 1 at the Hospital Río Carrión went out to tender on 5 October, at 401,684 euros excluding VAT, that is, before tax. A licitación is a public tender, in which companies submit bids. It is called by the Gerencia de Asistencia Sanitaria de Palencia, the health authority the hospital answers to, on the Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders for works and services. It is the only works tender in the Palencia comarca published this week and it accepts bids until 3 November.
The operating theatre is tendered for the cost of five nursery extensions. The hospital amount is 5 times that of the extension of the La Noria nursery school in Grijota, tendered for 79,968 euros excluding VAT by the Diputación de Palencia, the provincial council, which mainly serves small towns.
The La Noria file was updated on 1 October and is listed as concluded. The bidding window for La Noria closed on 10 August and the file, last updated on 1 October, is listed as resuelto, meaning the tender is over and the contract has been closed.

Six works files and only one is open to bids

The pavements and the operating theatre were tendered at nearly the same amount. The project for targeted accessibility and pavement improvements was tendered for 403,196 euros excluding VAT, 1,512 euros more than the operating theatre. It is contracted by the Junta de Gobierno Local, the governing board of Palencia city council, the bidding window closed on 27 July and the file is concluded.
Cerro del Otero has two energy projects with the proposals under review. The same council has under assessment, the stage in which the public body is assessing the bids and has not yet chosen a company, the efficient lighting with renewable energy, tendered for 133,430 euros excluding VAT, whose window closed on 21 September, and the works of the Plan de Energía Sostenible y Eficiencia Energética, its sustainable energy and energy efficiency plan, tendered for 121,482 euros excluding VAT, which closed on 10 September. Together they add up to 254,912 euros excluding VAT.
In Osorno la Mayor, the paving of Santa Vera Cruz shut its bidding window on 1 September. The Diputación de Palencia is handling the second phase of the paving of Calle Santa Vera Cruz, tendered for 64,463 euros excluding VAT. The bidding window closed on 1 September and the file is listed as concluded.

Palencia city council offers 46,000 euros for entrepreneurship and Astudillo keeps its duplex auction running 8 more days

Eight, 22 and 27 days for the three deadlines still open

The city of Palencia's council hands 46,000 euros to entrepreneurship programmes. The BDNS, the Base de Datos Nacional de Subvenciones or National Grants Database, the public register where every administration announces its grants, recorded on 29 September the rules and convocatoria, the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant, for associations and organisations in the city of Palencia with programmes supporting entrepreneurship and the business fabric during 2026. There are 46,000 euros and applications run until 29 October. According to the official record it is for legal entities that carry out no economic activity, not for companies.
Direct money from the Junta is cleared for the region's innovative business clusters. On the same day the register took in the agreement of 10 September by which the Junta de Castilla y León, the regional government, authorises the direct award of grants to the region's Agrupaciones Empresariales Innovadoras, non-profit bodies that bring together companies, research centres and training centres to carry out innovative projects. This is money whose recipient is already set.
A software business chooses the city of Palencia. The BORME, the Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies must be published by law, published on 2 October the incorporation of Tecnosnack Systems, devoted to programming and selling software, with 3,500 euros of capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company. It is the only new company in the Palencia comarca in the week. It is neither a property firm nor a builder.
The court-ordered home in Astudillo keeps bidding open for eight days more. Still under subasta judicial, a public sale ordered by a court, in which anyone can bid, is a duplex home in Astudillo, the only auction in the Palencia comarca. It opened on 25 September and accepts bids until 15 October. The edicto, the official notice of the auction, gives no square metres and there is no CasasValue for the building, the value CASAS.ES estimates for every home, so the floor area has to be checked on the Portal de Subastas of the Boletín Oficial del Estado, the BOE's official website where property is auctioned.
