EULEN takes two of three contracts that Mérida city council settled, tendered for 2,065,741 euros

In the Mérida comarca, EULEN wins two of three contracts that Mérida city council sees settled this week, 74.6% of what it tendered in them. The Junta opens bidding on four public homes in Guadajira, a minor local entity of Lobón, the villages have four open deadlines and the Extremaduran employment service registers seven calls aimed at self-employed workers.

Guadajira will have 4 new public homes, budgeted at 139,019 euros per house

Two new housing files and two already under way
  • Four public homes in Guadajira go out to a works tender commissioned by the Extremaduran government. The regional department of Infrastructure, Transport and Housing opened this week the licitación, a public tender in which companies bid, for the construction of 4 publicly developed homes in low-energy buildings in Guadajira, a minor local entity of the municipality of Lobón. The works come out at 556,077 euros excluding VAT, before taxes, and accept bids until 29 October. Spread across the four houses, the budget equals 139,019 euros per home, a construction figure and not a sale one.
  • La Zarza town council puts a municipally owned home up for sale. The notice of disposal of a municipal home, that is, of its sale, is new this week and takes bids until 4 November. The conditions are in the official notice.
  • Montijo, Calamonte and the capital appear in protected housing contracts that have a contractor. The energy refurbishment of 20 publicly developed homes in Montijo is part of a contract in lots that includes another 6 in Villanueva de la Serena, outside the comarca. It is resuelto, meaning the tender is over and the contract has been closed, for LAMBDA 360 GRADOS EMPRESA CONSTRUCTORA, a limited company in the construction sector. The two lots came out at 797,218 euros, also excluding VAT. The energy monitoring of public homes in five localities, among them the city of Mérida and Calamonte, has as its contractor the company VENTUM INNOVACION, DESARROLLO Y COMUNCIACIONES. Its budget for the five was 113,119 euros.

EULEN gathers 74.6% of what was budgeted across the municipal works settled in the city of Mérida

The Hogar de Mayores almost equals the other four together
  • The future Centro de Día at Hogar de Mayores appears as settled for EULEN. The construction of the Hogar de Mayores building as a day centre, which Mérida city council put out to tender in March 2025 for 1,652,518 euros excluding VAT, like all the amounts in this section, is listed as settled on the Plataforma de Contratación, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders. EULEN is a Spanish cleaning, security and maintenance services company. The three municipal notices changed status this week.
  • The company CUBILLANA will pave the Ruta Patrimonial Accesible in the historic centre. The paving of the route between the Museo Abierto, the Centro Histórico and the Parque Ciudad de la Infancia went out to tender in August 2025 with a budget of 702,479 euros. It is the contractor shown in the official notice.
  • EULEN adds a second municipal contract with the environmental upgrade of a park. The design and works for the environmental upgrading of an urban park, which dates from September 2024 and had a budget of 413,223 euros, is also settled for this company. Its two contracts add up to 2,065,741 euros at tender, 74.6% of the 2,768,221 euros the city council tendered across the three.
  • Morería has its contractor while the N-630 overpass awaits a decision. The museum fit-out of the Morería archaeological site, from the Consorcio Ciudad Monumental de Mérida and tendered for 350,340 euros excluding VAT, has passed adjudicación, the step in which the public body chooses the company that will do the work, and goes to AL-SENERA OBRAS Y SERVICIOS, a works and services company according to its registered name. The repair of the overpass above the Paseo de los Rosales on the N-630, with a budget of 241,674 euros, remains en evaluación, meaning the public body is assessing the bids and has not yet chosen a company. It accepted proposals until 2 September.
  • The María Luisa prepares its extension with works of 460,383 euros. The preparation of the land and rear access of the theatre, to extend the theatre with an adjoining building, went out to tender in September for 460,383 euros and its deadline ended on 1 October. The official notice still shows no company.

The villages have four open deadlines, from Alange on Wednesday 14 to La Zarza on 4 November

Eight of the 49 public grants recorded this week are open calls, seven aimed at self-employed workers

Eight of 49 files are grants that can be applied for
  • The SEXPE registers seven calls from six programmes aimed at self-employed workers, each with its own recipient. The Servicio Extremeño Público de Empleo (SEXPE), the Junta de Extremadura body that manages employment policies, recorded on 3 October in the BDNS, the National Grants Database, where public grants are announced, the 7 convocatorias it approved by resolution of 28 September. A convocatoria is the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant. Programme I, with two calls (one and another), is for unemployed people who set up on their own. Programme II supports self-employed people who bring an unemployed relative into their business, Programme III covers the Social Security contribution of unemployed people who have become self-employed and Programme IV is aimed at people in work who set up on their own account. They apply in the comarca's 24 municipalities, as in all of Extremadura. The register carries no amount or deadline, which must be checked in each link.
  • Staying registered one more year and the contribution of the relative who helps out also have a call. Programme V helps those who already received Programme I to stay registered for twelve additional months, and Programme VI pays the contribution of the unemployed relative who joins the business. The week's eighth open call is the European research and mobility scholarships of the Fundación Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste, registered on 5 October.
  • Of the 33 items whose recipient is fixed, three name the comarca and are closed to other applicants. On 9 October the Junta registered a subvención nominativa for Mérida city council for managing the Teatro María Luisa and an agreement with Montijo town council for early years education from 0 to 3. A subvención nominativa is a grant earmarked for a named recipient. On 6 October it recorded another for the association that organises the European youth festival of Greco-Latin theatre. The other 30 have different recipients. Among the 8 unclassified files there is one from the Diputación de Badajoz linked to Mérida's Holy Week.
  • The Mérida comarca gains a single company this time, with 3,000 euros of capital. The BORME of 8 October, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies are published, records the incorporation of MIL 966 GESTION in the city of Mérida. Its corporate purpose, the activities the company declares it will pursue, is the management of its own securities and acquisition, administration and sale. The capital social, the money the partners put in when founding the company, is not turnover.
