In the Menorca comarca, 93 of every 100 euros in open tenders go to 34 dwellings in Es Mercadal
Four works accept bids in the Menorca comarca and add up to 9,480,992 euros. Of every 100 euros, 93 belong to the 34 protected homes being tendered in Es Mercadal, open until 9 November. On Tuesday 13 bids stop being accepted to provide shade with trees in Ciutadella de Menorca, and in Es Migjorn Gran the Santo Tomás showers will use seawater.
Santo Tomás will shower with seawater and the works already have someone to do them

- Es Migjorn Gran finds out who will bring the sea to the Santo Tomás showers. Es Migjorn Gran town council now has an adjudicación, the step in which the public body chooses the company that will do the work, for the seawater intake for the showers and foot-washes at Santo Tomás beach. It went out to licitación, a public tender in which companies bid, for 86,204 euros before taxes, that is, excluding VAT, like every amount in this edition. The Plataforma de Contratación, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders, updated it on 8 October and names INMEX MENORCA 2023.
- The same company takes the children's play area of a village square. The improvement of the play space in a square, tendered for 74,296 euros excluding VAT, appears as awarded to the same company. Together they reach 160,500 euros at the starting price.
- The lighting is listed as under assessment and the pensioners' club ended its bidding on 7 October. The renewal of the lighting at pedestrian crossings, at 128,499 euros, appears as en evaluación, the stage in which the public body assesses the bids. The refurbishment of the Club de Jubilados came out at 247,807 euros.
Sant Lluís and Ciutadella open two air conditioning tenders for 413,778 euros

- Sa Garriga school in Sant Lluís seeks an air conditioning installer until 6 November. On 8 October Sant Lluís town council published the air conditioning of the CEIP Sa Garriga, a state infant and primary school. It comes out at 246,551 euros.
- The Ciutadella care home for the elderly replaces its chiller and gives less leeway. The same day Ciutadella de Menorca town council put out the replacement of the chiller at the municipal care home for the elderly, at 167,227 euros and with bids until 23 October. Before that, on Tuesday 13, its tender to provide shade with trees, at 227,235 euros, closes.
- Es Mercadal accounts for 93 of every 100 euros among the tenders still open because of the 34 protected homes being tendered within the municipality. The Institut Balear de l'Habitatge, the Balearic public body that builds and manages protected housing, keeps open until 9 November the tender for 34 publicly protected homes in Es Mercadal, which is priced at 8,839,979 euros and co-funded by the FEDER, the European Regional Development Fund. It is 93.2 per cent of the 9,480,992 euros open.
Sant Lluís, Alaior and Maó wait on a builder across three tenders adding up to 1,845,166 euros

- The pool at the Sant Lluís sports centre is waiting on its builder. The outdoor pool of the municipal sports centre, at 1,027,002 euros, closed its deadline on 23 September and remains under assessment. So does the repair in lots of the Alaior tracks damaged by the DANA of August 2024, a low-pressure system in the upper levels of the atmosphere, which can bring heavy rain. It comes out at 489,106 euros and closed on 8 September.
- The island government has a property it will refurbish in Maó awaiting a company. The consells insulars are the government of each island in the Balearics, and the Consell Insular de Menorca has under assessment the refurbishment of a property in Maó as a reception centre for minors, which is priced at 329,058 euros and closed to bids on 17 August.
- Two island roads are listed as settled on the state portal. The strengthening of the road surface of the ME-1 in Alaior, at 1,752,049 euros, appears as resuelto, meaning the tender is over and the contract has been closed. Its last update is from 15 September, with no company. The improvement of the ME-3 for access to the Cos Nou, in the port of Maó, at 2,339,094 euros, is listed as settled with its last update in March 2025.
The Balearic agricultural fund registers rules for rural grants for Menorca alone

- The Menorcan countryside gets its own rules for agricultural or environmental projects. The FOGAIBA, the Balearic Islands' agricultural and fisheries guarantee fund, registered on 8 October in the BDNS, the National Grants Database, the rules of the second convocatoria of rural development grants for Menorca. A convocatoria is the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant. Who can apply, how much and until when is set out in the linked official source.
- Livestock farms may claim compensation for the rising cost of feed. The same fund registered on 7 October the 2026 de minimis grants for the rise in feed prices, small grants with a ceiling per company set by the European Union, for all the islands.
- Art students, food guarantee, employment and a municipal agreement round off the weekly register. The Balearic government registered on 7 October grants for academic excellence and for travel for graduates and students of higher arts education, and on 6 October those for food guarantee. On 7 October there also entered the programme of comprehensive integration pathways for 2027 and 2028 of the Balearic employment service, with no record of whether it can be applied for. On 5 October Sant Lluís town council registered an agreement of 8,000 euros with an association on the island for 2026 and 2027, money that already has a recipient.
Search the map for the CasasValue of any building in Ciutadella de Menorca or Maó
Up to 10 October, Es Migjorn Gran found a firm to build the seawater intake at Santo Tomás beach and the play area of a square. Sant Lluís tendered air conditioning for Sa Garriga school and Ciutadella de Menorca the chiller of its care home for the elderly, while Es Mercadal keeps open until 9 November the tender for 34 protected homes, which takes 93 of every 100 euros with an open deadline. Alaior is short of a builder to repair rural tracks, and Maó of one to refurbish a property intended for minors. Es Castell and Ferreries lack any file to themselves in this issue, although the Balearic fund's farm grants reach their livestock farmers. This week the island records no new companies and no properties going to auction.
