Benidorm awards 12.4 million for its bullring and la Vila Joiosa has 4.8 million of works open to bids

A UTE, a temporary joint venture of two companies, will refurbish the Benidorm bullring for 12.4 million, 93 per cent of everything awarded in the comarca this week, la Vila Joiosa and Altea have four works tenders open worth 5.4 million, l'Alfàs del Pi registers six new companies and Finestrat and Benidorm each take a home to court auction.

Benidorm awards 12.4 million to turn its bullring into a cultural venue

The bullring changes use. On 21 September the Public Sector Procurement Platform (Plataforma de Contratación) published the award of the design and build contract to refurbish the Benidorm bullring as a venue for culture, youth and inclusion, for 12,396,694 euros before VAT, 93 per cent of the 13.3 million awarded in the comarca this week. The work goes to the UTE formed by GESTASER and URDECON. In 2025 URDECON had already won the redevelopment of the old town of Finestrat, for 803,145 euros.
La Vila Joiosa lights up its promenade and renews its cemetery. La Vila Joiosa awarded ALDABA OBRAS REUNIDAS SL, a Spanish limited company, the demolition and rebuilding of a cemetery module for 281,362 euros before VAT, and Electricidad Gaspar Llinares SL the new lighting for the pedestrian areas and the seafront promenade of the Torres sector (PP-27), for 243,802 euros.
Altea and Callosa invest in sport and heritage. Altea awarded four padel courts at the Joan Montiel sports complex, in Altea la Vella, for 260,583 euros, and Callosa d'en Sarrià commissioned ARPA PATRIMONIO SL for the archaeological work at the Fort de Bèrnia to enhance the site, for 144,903 euros.

La Vila Joiosa and Altea keep 5.4 million open across four works tenders

From 28 September to 8 October to submit bids

A 4.4 million collector for the Refoio. La Vila Joiosa has a tender open until 5 October for the collector that will divert flows from the barranco del Refoio, a seasonal ravine, for 4,407,396 euros before VAT, the largest job the comarca's builders can bid for this week.
Altea resurfaces streets and rural roads. Altea has a tender open until 8 October to resurface streets and rural roads across the municipality, for 579,253 euros before VAT.
Two more road jobs in la Vila Joiosa. The widening of the carriageway at the junction of avenida Benidorm and calle Colón, for 265,229 euros, accepts bids until 28 September, and the paving and signage of the Montesol sector (PR-7), for 140,808 euros, until 6 October.

L'Alfàs del Pi registers six companies in a week, four of them with construction in their business purpose

L'Alfàs del Pi adds building companies. NEXALBIR SL, GAMA SEUGON SL and ORIGEN LEVANTE SL are registered in l'Alfàs del Pi with a broad business purpose that starts with construction, installations and maintenance, as is another company in the same municipality. In Altea, AQUARIUS POOLS SOLUTIONS SL starts out with 25,000 euros for building work, refurbishments and swimming pools, and in La Nucía another building contractor is set up.
Three new companies to buy, sell and let. BENIBRISA INVEST SL is set up in Benidorm to buy, sell, let and broker property, and in l'Alfàs del Pi two more follow, DICHOSOS BIENES QUE A MIS MANOS VIENEN SL, for buying and selling, and CRIMAR INMO GESTION SL, for brokerage and management.
La Nucía registers the largest company of the week. NEXO TROKOLO SL is registered in La Nucía with 492,000 euros of share capital to acquire and manage movable and real property. Across the comarca 24 companies are set up, seven in La Nucía, six in l'Alfàs del Pi, six in Benidorm, three in Altea, one in Finestrat and one in la Vila Joiosa.
Two calls from the Generalitat for businesses. On 22 September Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, the regional tourism agency, launched the Bono Hostalería 2026, a voucher for bars and restaurants under the Endavant plan, and on the 24th the Agencia Valenciana de Fomento y Garantía Agraria, the Valencian agricultural agency, opened the grants for young and new farmers to start up their holdings, which also serve the inland part of the comarca.

Finestrat and Benidorm take two homes to court auction, the Benidorm one with 137 square metres

Finestrat closes on 2 October. A court is auctioning a home with a parking space in Finestrat, in a building of 135 homes built in 2008 whose median CasasValue is 259,535 euros. Bidding closes on 2 October.

The last week of September brought Benidorm the award of its bullring contract and a home auction, la Vila Joiosa and Altea four open works tenders, Callosa d'en Sarrià the work at the Fort de Bèrnia, l'Alfàs del Pi and La Nucía new companies and Finestrat an auction. Polop, Relleu, Orxeta, Tàrbena, Sella, Bolulla, Benimantell, Confrides, Beniardà, Benifato and el Castell de Guadalest had no contracts, companies or auctions of their own this week, although their bars and restaurants can apply for the regional hospitality voucher and their young farmers for the Generalitat's agricultural call.
