Calle Belchite, a Logroño City Council contract, closes bidding on Wednesday 30 with 278,709 euros of the 566,542 on offer across the Logroño comarca. Arrúbal, Ocón and Villamediana de Iregua are waiting for a contractor on four contracts worth 208,699 euros, a business premises in the capital of La Rioja awaits bidders until 13 October and the comarca ranks ninth of the day's 21 with eight new companies, one in property and another in building construction.

One city street is almost half of what is out to tender

Calle Belchite leads what remains open, with three days to go. The Junta de Gobierno, the executive board of Logroño City Council, put the redevelopment of calle Belchite between avenida de España and avenida Pío XII out to tender on 10 September, for 278,709 euros before VAT. Bids are accepted until Wednesday 30 September. A single street accounts for almost half of everything now out to tender.
Nalda puts out two works, one in the village and one in Islallana. Nalda Town Council published the redevelopment of calle Asociación Deportiva on 11 September, for 143,293 euros before VAT, and on the 15th the refurbishment of the Islallana playground, for 82,562. Both accept bids until 8 October, on the same timetable for any firm that wants to go for both.
Sorzano allows a good three weeks to study the project. The Sorzano town council plenary put out the development of camino de Eras on 17 September, for 61,978 euros before VAT, with bids until 21 October. It is the smallest of the works and the one with the most generous deadline.

Three of the four contracts have gone 20 days without a contractor

Arrúbal will get a lift in its municipal sports centre. The installation of the lift in the Arrúbal sports centre, for 67,732 euros before VAT, was published on 24 August and its bids are under assessment. It is the largest of the four village contracts awaiting a contractor.
Santa Lucía de Ocón repairs its hermitage and its water supply at the same time. Ocón Town Council advertised on 18 August the first phase of the roof of the hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, for 62,211 euros, and the improvement of the Malmedín water intake, for 48,257. Together they come to 110,467 euros, more than half of what awaits a contractor.
Villamediana de Iregua brings heating and cooling to its youth centre. The climate control of the Villamediana de Iregua youth centre, for 30,500 euros before VAT, was published on 31 August as a supply contract.

A Logroño city business premises goes to auction and two of eight new companies look to housing

The Logroño comarca ranks ninth of the day's 21

A commercial premises in the city goes to court auction. The BOE Auction Portal (Portal de Subastas) has open from 23 September until 13 October the bidding for a commercial premises in Logroño city, the only auction in the comarca. The notice announces two lots and the Portal only details this premises, with no floor area published, so it is worth requesting the documents from the court before bidding.
Two of the eight firms will work in property and building. CLEANTES INVESTMENTS registers as a holding company with property sales, letting and brokerage among its activities, with 3,000 euros of capital (BORME, Spain's official companies gazette). Another, also registered in the Riojan capital and with the same capital, will build residential and non residential buildings (BORME).
Hospitality is the most frequent line of business this week. In Fuenmayor, MESON EL ESCUDO 2026 is set up to run a bar, with 10,000 euros of capital, the largest of the eight. Inside the city limits of Logroño, IKARO SERVICIOS GASTRONOMICOS registers to run a restaurant, along with another café and bar company, each with 3,000 euros (BORME).
A gestoría, a parapharmacy and a social service complete the list. GESTORIA EUROGESTION RIOJA, a gestoría or administrative agency, and NOVAFARMA 2026 open with 3,000 euros each (BORME) and SEGUR RIOJA SOLUCIONES with 300 (BORME). The eight together total 28,300 euros.

The Logroño comarca keeps four works open, calle Belchite in the city, two in Nalda, in the village and in Islallana, and camino de Eras in Sorzano, while Arrúbal, Ocón and Villamediana de Iregua await a contractor for four contracts advertised in August. Between 20 and 27 September, the Registro Mercantil, Spain's companies register, recorded eight new companies, seven with their registered office inside Logroño city limits and one in Fuenmayor, and the court auction of a business premises in the regional capital opened, closing on 13 October. Alberite had no open tenders, companies or auctions, and Lardero, Albelda de Iregua, Navarrete, Entrena, Murillo de Río Leza, Agoncillo, Ribafrecha, Ausejo, Sojuela, Alcanadre, Galilea, Lagunilla del Jubera, Medrano, Clavijo, Corera, Sotés, Santa Engracia del Jubera, El Redal, Hornos de Moncalvillo, Daroca de Rioja and Leza de Río Leza recorded no tenders, awards, companies or auctions.
