Mengíbar holds 59.2% of the live tender money in the Jaén comarca and the JA-4401 already has a firm

The Jaén comarca has 5.9 million before VAT in live tenders, and 59.2% of it is in Mengíbar, between the former Cine Avenida and the covered court at the José Plata school. The Porcuna JA-4401 already has a firm.

• The road from Porcuna to Arjonilla will be resurfaced by an asphalt firm. The Diputación Provincial de Jaén, the provincial council, considers the JA-4401 contract with MEZCLAS BITUMINOSAS resolved, according to the Public Sector Procurement Platform, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders, updated on 28 September. It was tendered, a public competition in which companies submit bids, for 1,197,100.79 euros excluding VAT, before tax. Arjonilla now belongs to another comarca.
• Mancha Real is renewing its street lighting with low-energy lamps. According to the Procurement Platform, updated on 28 September, the Town Council has resolved, meaning the tender is over and the contract has been closed, the low-energy street lighting contract with SOCIEDAD IBÉRICA DE CONSTRUCCIONES ELÉCTRICAS, tendered at 191,700 euros before VAT (contract record).
• Torredelcampo is repairing a rural track. CONSTRUCCIONES Y ASFALTOS VALMONPE appears as the successful bidder for surfacing a rural track and several emergency works, tendered at 109,082.42 euros before VAT, according to the update of 29 September (Procurement Platform).
• The Diputación sells plot 22 in Geolit, in Mengíbar. The Diputación has already chosen a buyer, a steel reinforcement firm, for plot 22 of the Parque Científico y Tecnológico Geolit, tendered at 244,228.50 euros before VAT (case file).
• The Grupo Peralta sewerage network, in Fuerte del Rey, appears as resolved. The full council put the works out for 227,371.34 euros before VAT. The Platform shows it as resolved, with no company named, in its update of 22 September (record).

Mengíbar seeks a contractor until 19 October as eight more contracts wait to be decided

• The José Plata school in Mengíbar is to have its court roofed. Since 28 September the Town Council has been inviting tenders, for 200,748.83 euros before VAT, for the design and roofing of the sports court. Bids until 19 October on the Procurement Platform.
• The JA-3308 in Martos keeps taking offers. The strengthening of the road from Martos towards Monte Lope Álvarez, tendered at 738,555.34 euros before VAT, accepts bids until 13 October (tender documents). The JA-3307, from Las Casillas de Martos to Alcaudete, tendered at 714,869.44 euros before VAT, is already being assessed (record).
• The former Cine Avenida is the biggest job in play. Mengíbar received bids until 9 September for a civic and cultural building on the cinema site, tendered at 3,296,304.52 euros before VAT (case file).
• Torredonjimeno and La Guardia de Jaén have yet to pick a firm. Torredonjimeno is assessing bids for a lorry park tendered at 362,933.34 euros before VAT (record), and La Guardia de Jaén for drafting its Plan General de Ordenación Municipal, tendered at 160,000 euros before VAT (record).
• The capital and Mancha Real complete the map. In the city of Jaén, the authorities are assessing bids, with no company chosen yet, to renew the paving of the Parque de las Sufragistas, for 136,738.05 euros (record), and two other works contracts worth 160,389.04 euros in total. Mancha Real is assessing the improvement of its access road via Pegalajar, for 140,784.17 euros (record). All of them before VAT and with the bidding period closed.

A court sells premises in Torredelcampo closing on Monday, and two flats in Jaén city wait until the 14th

• In Torredelcampo, premises with 94.5 usable square metres await bidders until 5 October. The auction notice gives it 100 built square metres, in a building from 2009. Bidding has been open since 15 September on the Auction Portal, the official website of the BOE, Spain's Official State Gazette, where anyone who registers can bid.
• A home of 98 square metres is being auctioned in the capital. The court auction, a public sale ordered by a court, opened on 24 September and closes on 14 October. The building, from 1968, has a median CasasValue, the value CASAS.ES estimates for every home, of 122,211 euros per home (auction record).
• The same batch includes another capital flat, of 58 square metres. It also accepts bids until 14 October, on the Auction Portal.

Nine companies choose an address in the Jaén comarca and Andalusian origin labels get grants

• A toys and leisure firm leads on capital. LIZARIS WORKS is founded in the city of Jaén with 20,000 euros of capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company, to sell games and toys and run recreational activities, 38.8% of the capital of the nine new companies in the comarca, according to the Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil, the official gazette of the Companies Register (gazette of 24 September).
• The provincial capital adds a holding company, marketing and hospitality. ERVER TEKNE registers with 10,000 euros to manage shareholdings, and another holding company with 3,000 (gazette of 28 September). OLEA360, in advertising, and LAFER RJ, in hospitality, arrive on the 30th with 3,410 and 3,000 euros (gazette).
• Olive growing leads the way in Fuensanta de Martos and Martos. KAMPANO AGRICULTURA starts up in Fuensanta de Martos with 3,020 euros to bottle olive oil (gazette), and CAZMAR AGRO in Martos with 3,000 to farm land (gazette).
• Andalusian origin labels get a new line of grants. The Junta opens them to the regulatory councils of the designations of origin (record). There are also travel grants for vocational training students on work placements (record) and a Diputación competition for first-time writers (rules).

Porcuna sees the improvement of the JA-4401 towards Arjonilla resolved, Mancha Real its low-energy street lighting and Torredelcampo a rural track, and Fuerte del Rey appears with the Grupo Peralta sewerage network resolved since 22 September, while the Diputación sells a plot in Geolit in Mengíbar, which is also tendering the roofing of a school sports court. Martos expects offers for the JA-3308, Torredonjimeno for its lorry park and La Guardia de Jaén for drafting its town plan. The city of Jaén and Torredelcampo have three properties open to bidders, while Jaén city, Martos and Fuensanta de Martos account for the nine companies registered across the Jaén comarca. Los Villares, Villatorres, Jamilena, Villardompardo, Santiago de Calatrava and Higuera de Calatrava have no case of their own between 23 and 30 September.
