The Gran Bilbao comarca registers 4.87 million in new capital, more than 19 other comarcas today combined
In the Gran Bilbao comarca, the city of Bilbao takes 4.38 million with 35 of the 62 new companies, while two property firms put up half of the capital. A 105-metre home in Bilbao goes to auction for the first time, three auctions close before Thursday 8 October, Loiu airport is hiring a firm for works on its P1 car park and SPRI opens 975,000 euros for industry.
Bilbao draws the wave of new companies, with two property holding firms of more than a million each
- Two Bilbao property firms put up half of the new capital. SOCIEDAD DE GESTION DE INMUEBLES SGABI starts with 1,443,996 euros to buy, let and refurbish property, and THE ADDRESS VALDERRAMA with 1,037,487 euros to develop on its own account, both in the BORME of 29 September. Together they total 2.48 million, 51% of what the comarca's 62 new companies declare. The venture capital company UVEJA INVESTMENTS registers in Bilbao with no published capital (BORME of 24 September).
- The capital keeps almost 90% of the money. Bilbao accounts for 35 of the 62 companies. Next come NOVINGER MANAGEMENT BILBAO, with 869,700 euros, the holding company ATAMOVIS, with 310,000, and BILBOKO MUGIKORTASUNA, with 100,000 euros for Bilbao City Council's urban transport (BORME of 29 September). A day later VIJOMAR MOBIL registers, with 300,000 euros (BORME of 30 September).
- Development, building and refurbishment firms also appear. APARTAMENTOS CALLE FLORIDA starts out in Bilbao with 100,000 euros to develop property, and KATEGORA CORRALEJO DEVELOPMENT and RISAN OBRAS Y REFORMAS with 3,000 each. INVEREFOR operates from Derio and HELLO PRISMA acts as an intermediary in Santurtzi (BORME of 29 September). NICK HOUSE 2024 buys and sells property from Leioa with 10,000 euros and ECOASFALTOS BESAIDE opens in Getxo with 400,000 to bid for public works (BORME of 30 September).
A 105-metre home in Bilbao and two shop units in Barakaldo await bids in October
- A 105-metre flat with a garage, the only new auction. The court auction in Bilbao opened on 25 September and takes bids until 15 October. It brings together the home, of about 105 square metres according to the notice, and a garage with a storage room. The median CasasValue of a home in Bilbao is 305,666 euros.
- Two adjoining shop units in the Cruces district of Barakaldo. The court case joins two premises of 27.73 and 29.83 square metres, 57.56 in total, for a neighbourhood shop. The median CasasValue of a home in Barakaldo is 220,352 euros.
- Muskiz and Zierbena close bidding on Monday 5 October. The home in Muskiz and the plot in Zierbena with a group of buildings, which the portal classes as a home, have been open for bids since 15 September. Neither notice gives the square metres.
Loiu airport wants a firm to extend car park P1 and CAMPEZO takes on taxiway D4
- Aena opens bidding to enlarge the Loiu P1 car park. On 29 September Aena published the complementary works to extend the P1 car park, tendered for 150,775.14 euros excluding VAT, with bids until 19 October. The conversion of an area for parking emergency vehicles, tendered for 192,371.15 euros excluding VAT, remains open until 13 October.
- Taxiway D4 is adapted for helicopters. CAMPEZO OBRAS Y SERVICIOS is listed as the successful bidder for the adaptation of taxiway D4 for helicopters, tendered for 154,577.27 euros excluding VAT. The work on the margins of taxiways, tendered for 713,681.30 euros excluding VAT, is recorded as decided.
- The airport and the port already have contracts decided. RECALDE won the airport perimeter wall and the Larrabarrena park in Sondika, tendered for 62,377.96 euros excluding VAT, and the firefighter training area, and ELECNOR the upgrade to the legionella standard. In Santurtzi, the port decided the diversion of the maritime terminal oil pipeline, tendered for 7,453,376.50 euros excluding VAT, and GERTU ERAIKUNTZAK the glazing of the port headquarters.
SPRI opens 975,000 euros for industry and Galdakao 52,000 for the Basque language, with deadlines into November
- Basque industry has 975,000 euros from SPRI until 12 November. The Basque Business Development Agency opened the Emakumea Industriara programme on 29 September for manufacturing companies in the Basque Country, of any size.
- Galdakao shares out 52,000 euros for the social use of Basque. Galdakao Town Council published its call for legal entities with no economic activity, with applications until 15 October.
- Fishing, connectivity and culture launch lines with no published deadline. The Basque Government published the fisheries programmes Ikerbat and Itsasoratu and the 2026 cultural tours, and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia the connectivity boost. Who can apply, and until when, is set out in their rules.
Bilbao takes 35 of the 62 companies that the BORME records for the Gran Bilbao comarca, dated 23 to 30 September. The rest are spread across Leioa, Barakaldo, Getxo, Erandio, Derio, Santurtzi, Basauri, Zierbena, Larrabetzu, Sondika, Laukiz, Valle de Trápaga-Trapagaran and Ortuella. Muskiz, Zierbena, Barakaldo and Bilbao offer property at auction, Loiu gathers the airport works, which reach the Larrabarrena park in Sondika, Santurtzi those of the port, and Galdakao offers Basque language grants. Portugalete, Sestao, Mungia, Sopela, Etxebarri, Arrigorriaga, Abanto y Ciérvana-Abanto Zierbena, Berango, Urduliz, Gorliz, Plentzia, Zamudio, Alonsotegi, Lezama, Gatika, Zaratamo, Barrika, Gamiz-Fika, Lemoiz, Maruri-Jatabe and Usansolo have no companies, auctions or contracts this time, and their manufacturing industry can apply until 12 November to SPRI's Emakumea Industriara programme.
