Port of Gijón tenders a 699,996 euro waste area, close to 70% of all money open to bids

In the Gijón comarca four tenders are accepting bids worth 1.01 million euros, and close to 70% of that sum goes to the waste collection area in the fishing zone of the Port of Gijón. The city of Gijón has two flats under the hammer until 5 and 14 October, and six of the 11 companies just founded in the comarca are property or construction firms.

The Port of Gijón plans a waste collection area in its fishing zone. On 29 September the Gijón Port Authority published the tender, a public competition in which companies bid to carry out works or a service, on the Plataforma de Contratación, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders. It is priced at 699,995.64 euros excluding VAT, that is, before tax, almost 70 per cent of what is still open to bids in the Gijón comarca.
The municipal sports board, the Patronato Deportivo Municipal, refurbishes toilets in La Calzada. The refurbishment of the toilets and changing room at the La Calzada Sports Complex came out on 30 September, put out to tender at 62,150.56 euros excluding VAT.
Colunga opens up and improves roads in the Viular. On 28 September Colunga published the opening and improvement of roads in the Viular, put out to tender at 99,859.54 euros excluding VAT.
Pinzales accepts bids for a roof over its school court only until this Friday. Gijón City Council is accepting bids until 2 October to cover the court at the Pinzales state primary school, put out to tender at 144,609.62 euros excluding VAT. The cycle lane on Avenida Albert Einstein, at 306,686.36 euros excluding VAT, closed for bids on 1 October.

Two flats in Gijón await bidders until 5 and 14 October, in blocks built in 1969 and 1971

All three auctions are in just one of the six municipalities

Bidding on the first flat ends on Monday 5, and it sits in a 1971 block of 159 homes. Since 15 September a home in the municipality of Gijón has been up for court auction, a public sale ordered by a court. Bids are placed on the Portal de Subastas, the BOE's official website where courts and public bodies auction property and where anyone who registers can bid. The BOE is Spain's Official State Gazette, which publishes laws and official notices.
The second, in a ten-storey building put up in 1969, stays open to bidders until 14 October. On 24 September a court put the second home up for auction. Its building has a median CasasValue of 138,848 euros, just over half that of the first.
A third home, of 105 square metres, closed on 28 September. The comarca's third auction is no longer taking bids.

Acciona and Citanias already hold contracts with Gijón City Council, with street lighting tendered at 168.7 million

Six more works that already know who will carry them out

Gijón's municipal street lighting and energy contract is listed as resolved. Acciona Esco and Acciona Construcciones run the management of energy, street lighting and municipal buildings for Gijón City Council, put out to tender in 2020 at 168,694,232.47 euros excluding VAT. In this week's update it is listed as resolved, meaning the tender is over and the contract has been closed.
Citanias will redo the Paraninfo roof at the Laboral. The Principality's public tourism and culture company has resolved with Citanias Obras y Servicios the refurbishment of the Paraninfo roof, put out to tender at 103,897.59 euros excluding VAT.
Six more works in Gijón and Colunga already know who will carry them out. They range from the refurbishment of the Albergue Covadonga to the crate store at the Lonja Gijón Musel. In Colunga, a consultancy will draft the partial plan for the industrial estate.

Two companies hold a fifth of the capital

A new developer chooses Villaviciosa. Ignea Desarrollos Inmobiliarios SL appears in the Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil, the BORME, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies are published. It is based in Villaviciosa and has 3,000 euros of share capital, the money the partners put in.
Gijón gains four firms to buy, sell, build and let. Stoer Casas del Norte SL, according to the BORME, will be an estate agency. The BORME of 1 October adds Focus Black SL, for buying and selling, the developer Portland Construcciones y Reformas SL and a rental company named after a person.
A builder registers the largest capital, 4,000 euros, and is the sixth in the sector. C y C Construcciones Mieilica SL, in bricklaying and construction, is from the municipality of Gijón, according to the BORME. The other five range from beauty, hospitality, machinery and food in Gijón to dairy products in Villaviciosa.
The Principality registers two grant calls for individuals for safer, less polluting vehicles. On 25 September the Regional Ministry of Science, Business, Training and Employment published two calls for applications, the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant, for private individuals (one and the other). Each sets who can apply and until when.

Four open tenders worth just over a million euros define these days in the Gijón comarca. Gijón municipality also accounts for the three flats auctioned, nine of the 11 newly founded firms and the resolved contracts covering lighting and the Paraninfo at the Laboral. Villaviciosa welcomes a developer as well as a dairy company. Colunga is tendering the Viular roads and has already chosen a consultancy for the partial plan of its industrial estate. Carreño, Cabranes and Caravia saw no auctions, new firms or contracts in the official data for the period.
