Two in three euros tendered in the Elche comarca go to the Convento de la Merced, and the ICU adds 3 million

The Hospital General Universitario ICU, at 3 million, is the week's big news, but the Convento de la Merced, open until Thursday 1 October, takes two in three of the 12.6 million euros tendered in the Elche comarca. The city of Elche also has two homes open to bids and 15 of the 17 new companies.

Elche City Council restores the Convento de la Merced. Tendered on 2 September for 8,348,036.80 euros before VAT, the restoration of the former convent takes bids until 1 October. See the tender.
The Hospital General Universitario refurbishes its ICU. The Departamento de Salud, the regional health area, has tendered the full ICU refurbishment since 22 September for 3,018,964.07 euros, with bids until 23 October. Tender documents.
Santa Pola opens three municipal works at once. The Town Council refurbishes the Jefatura de la Policía Local, its police headquarters, for 197,728 euros until 13 October (tender), the toilets at CEIP Ramón Cuesta primary school for 249,874 until 30 September (tender) and the Pabellón Virgen de Loreto sports hall roof for 64,421 until this Tuesday (tender).
The Polígono de Carrús industrial estate modernises with regional IVACE funds. Elche City Council tenders its landscape regeneration for 216,584 euros until 5 October (tender), the day bidding also closes for archaeological recording of the Avenida de Candalix site, worth 52,913 (tender).
District pavements and a demolition both come out on Monday 21. Pavements in urban and rural districts go out for 269,136 euros (tender) and a demolition on calle Ginés García Esquitino for 111,495 (tender), both until 13 October. Municipal company PIMESA finishes a commercial unit in La Magrana for 69,594 until 7 October (tender) and fencing for the Centro de Desarrollo Empresarial business centre, worth 40,662, closes this Tuesday (tender).

Two flats of 96 and 90 square metres within Elche's city limits take bids until mid-October

Auctioned buildings are worth less than their towns

A court takes bids on a 96 square metre home within Elche's city limits. It has 96 built square metres in a 2008 building with a median CasasValue of 158,364 euros per home, below the city's median home. Bids stay open until 13 October. See the auction.
Another home of 90 square metres, also in the city, closes a day later. It has 90 built square metres and bidding ends on 14 October. See the auction.
Santa Pola closed another of 72 metres on Monday. It had 72 registered square metres in a 1968 building and bidding ended this Monday 28 September. See the auction.

Thirteen works contracts have or are choosing a company, from the Peña Águilas sewer to the delivery rooms

Six contracts still choosing a company, seven have one

Aigües d'Elx, the municipal water company, decides who builds the Peña Águilas sewer. The network for phases 1 to 4 of Peña Águilas and Llano de San José, worth 1,539,119 euros, is under review (record). So is the upgrade of traffic trouble spots, worth 666,461 euros (record).
Four schools and nursery schools still await a contractor. Tensioned shade sails for several schools (226,213 euros, record), the CEIP Miguel Hernández roof (81,590, record), flooring for 9 classrooms (64,400, record) and the Els Xiquets roof (12,000, record) remain under review.
The Hospital General delivery rooms are already awarded. Their full refurbishment, tendered for 2,223,232 euros, is listed as awarded on the Platform, last updated 14 September (record). The 2026 pavements, worth 371,901 euros, went to Involucra (record).
Five companies sign the resolved contracts. Involucra builds the temporary car park beside the Jefatura de la Policía Local (528,560 euros, record), Eiffage Energia decarbonises hot water at the UMH university's Palau d'Esports (104,173, record), Teditronic instruments the Clot de Galvany wetland (45,500, record), Mediterránea de Servicios 2018 fits awnings at Don Honorio nursery school (24,909, record) and Teresem fences some petanque courts (6,998, record).

The city of Elche and Santa Pola gain seventeen firms, one of them a property developer

No company in the Elche comarca tops €26,500

Remodela Plus enters property development. Domiciled in the municipality of Elche with 3,000 euros of capital, it will develop, build and refurbish property. It is the only developer of the 17 (BORME). Finca La Hoya 13531 SA, the only sociedad anónima, or public limited company, also starts up there to operate and let property (BORME).
A Santa Pola holding company has the largest capital. Seindan starts with 26,500 euros to manage a business group (BORME). Santa Pola also gets Lizarran Santa Pola, serving drinks (BORME).
Restaurants, footwear and telecoms fill the rest. Devesa Gastroasis, with 10,000 euros, will run restaurants and events (BORME). Calenzo Shoes sells footwear, Aya Bag wholesale handbags (BORME) and Six7 Fibra y Móvil offers internet and phone services (BORME).
Hospitality, farming and research get new regional calls. Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, the regional tourism agency, calls the Bono Hostalería 2026 voucher (BDNS), useful for the new restaurant firms. The Agencia Valenciana de Fomento y Garantía Agraria, the regional farming agency, helps young and new farmers set up (BDNS) and the Plan GenT2 supports hiring researchers and innovators for 2027 (BDNS).

During the week from 21 to 28 September, Elche City Council (Elx) tendered the district pavements and a demolition, and the Departamento de Salud the ICU of the Hospital General Universitario, while the Convento de la Merced and the Polígono de Carrús are still open and the Peña Águilas sewer awaits a company. Santa Pola opened the works on its Jefatura de la Policía Local, has the CEIP Ramón Cuesta toilets and the Pabellón Virgen de Loreto roof open for bids, closed a home auction and registered two new companies. Crevillent had no tenders, auctions or company incorporations. Its Town Council registered four agreements with local organisations worth 15,000 euros in the BDNS.
