Duranguesado comarca · No. 3 · Monday 12 October 2026 · 4-minute read

The Duranguesado comarca creates 1 of 347 companies and Lanbide puts 3 million into full-time conversions

The Duranguesado comarca provides only 1 of the 347 companies incorporated over seven days by the 21 comarcas that publish on 12 October, a law firm in Durango. The only call for grant applications comes from Lanbide, the Basque Country's public employment service, which allocates 3 million euros to converting permanent part-time contracts into full-time ones and sets 30 November as the closing date, according to its official record.

Durango registers the comarca's only new company, a law firm with 3,000 euros of capital

One new company against 347 in the week
  • A Durango law firm is the sole company the comarca adds in seven days. The BORME, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies, capital changes and closures must be published by law, published on 8 October the incorporation of RUAT CAELUM SOCIEDAD LIMITADA PROFESIONAL. It is registered in Durango and has a single business purpose, the professional practice of law. Its share capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company, is 3,000 euros.
  • Durango had contributed none in the previous two weeks. With this practice, 5 companies have been incorporated in the Duranguesado comarca over the last three weeks. Ermua gathered 2, Amorebieta-Etxano and Iurreta 1 each, and the town that gives the comarca its name now appears for the first time. The previous week also brought a single new company, a residential builder in Ermua.
  • Among the 20 comarcas publishing today that registered at least one company, this comarca comes last. The 21 comarcas that CASAS.ES publishes on 12 October add up to 347 new companies in the week and the Duranguesado comarca contributes the Durango one. Only the Santa Cruz de Tenerife comarca falls below it, with none, and the chart places the rest. Our data for these seven days records no public tender for works or services in the comarca.

Lanbide sets aside 3,000,000 euros to turn permanent part-time contracts into full-time ones

Ten out of eleven already have a recipient
  • The week's only call for applications has a budget of 3 million. Lanbide, the Basque Employment Service, has registered its grants to reduce unwanted part-time work 2026-2027, with a total budget of 3,000,000 euros for the whole Basque Country. According to its official record, they fund the conversion of permanent part-time contracts into permanent full-time contracts. How much is paid per contract is not given in the record and must be read in the full call for applications, the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant.
  • SMEs and economically active individuals may apply, and the closing date is 30 November. The BDNS, the National Grants Database, the public register where every administration announces its grants, entered it on 7 October. It names as beneficiaries SMEs and individuals carrying out an economic activity, and legal entities that do not carry one out. The application period shown runs from 1 September to 30 November 2026. Before preparing paperwork it is worth confirming on the Lanbide page that the window is open, because the record does not yet mark it as such. As it covers the whole region, it applies equally to the 14 municipalities.
  • Bizkaia sent the remaining ten entries, each already earmarked. From 5 to 9 October the BDNS entered ten grants and agreements from the Diputación Foral de Bizkaia, the provincial council, all province-wide and none with a municipality of the comarca in its title. The one closest to business is the agreement with the Cámara de Comercio, Industria, Servicios y Navegación de Bilbao, the Bilbao chamber of commerce. The rest go to Cáritas Diocesana de Bilbao, the Fundación Futubide, the Asociación Parkinson Bizkaia, the Asociación Vizcaína del Acordeón, Barakaldo Antzokia, the Fundación del Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, the Fundación Alboan, the Asociación Bermeo Tuna and another foundation. Several are named grants, that is, money earmarked for a named recipient, which nobody else can apply for. Our data does not include the amounts, which are given in each record.

From 4 to 11 October, Durango gained a law firm starting with 3,000 euros, the sole incorporation recorded in the Duranguesado comarca and the first for the town in three weeks. Ermua, Amorebieta-Etxano and Iurreta had provided the previous four. Lanbide's regional grant, worth 3 million and with 30 November as the closing date for applications, applies equally in Abadiño, Atxondo, Berriz, Elorrio, Garai, Izurtza, Mallabia, Mañaria, Otxandio and Zaldibar. The Bizkaia provincial government added ten entries whose beneficiary is already named, none with a Duranguesado town in its title.
