For each euro in open tenders, the Costa Tropical comarca has 38 in works whose bidding has closed
The Costa Tropical comarca launched only one tender between 4 and 11 October across its 18 municipalities, that of the site for the jump bike track which Motril is preparing on Ronda de Levante. Added to the materials order from Ítrabo, there are, excluding VAT, 96,607.19 euros still within reach of bidders against 3,668,345.23 in seven works where bidding is no longer possible. Also arriving are two calls issued by the Junta, an agricultural one for almond trees and another for student travel.
Motril tenders at 65,234.60 euros the site of its BMX track, the one new tender in seven days

- Jump bikes now have a site set aside in Motril. On 9 October Motril town council published the preparation of the plot for a BMX track, a cycling discipline raced on a track with jumps and banked corners, on Ronda de Levante. It is a licitación, a public tender in which companies bid to carry out works or a service, and it is tendered at 65,234.60 euros excluding VAT, that is, before tax. It is only the first phase, the one for the site, and accepts bids until 4 November.
- Two days remain to sell materials and hire out machinery to Ítrabo. Ítrabo town council accepts bids until Wednesday 14 October on the Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders for works and services, for the supply of building materials and the hire of machinery. It is tendered at 31,372.59 euros excluding VAT and is a supply contract for builders' merchants and hire firms, not works.
- What accepts bids today is a tiny share of the works being processed. The two tenders open in the Costa Tropical comarca add up to 96,607.19 euros excluding VAT. The seven works whose deadline has already closed, led by the Gualchos hall, were tendered at 3,668,345.23 euros. For every euro that can still be bid for there are 38 in works that no longer accept bids.
GEOCAMINOS, PRODEGRA and DMA DRA now appear on three works in Motril and Salobreña

- Vélez de Benaudalla ceased on Tuesday to take bids on its bridge. The contract combining design and works to replace the bridge over the river Guadalfeo, on the Barranco de las Viñas y las Madres track, tendered at 422,756.96 euros excluding VAT, closed its bidding period on 6 October. The Plataforma does not yet show which company will do it.
- Subcontractors and suppliers now know which three companies to approach. GEOCAMINOS S.L appears on the development of the Parque Severiano Ballesteros in Playa Granada. PRODEGRA OBRA CIVIL Y EDIFICACIÓN S.L. is listed on the study room in Calle Madrid in Motril, and DMA DRA CARPINTERIA Y DISEÑO SL on the pavements of Calle Antonio Machado in Salobreña.
- Almuñécar and Gualchos account for three works with no known company. Almuñécar town council keeps under assessment, the stage in which the public body is assessing the bids and has not yet chosen a company, the neurodivergence park and the refurbishment of the Centro Joven youth centre in La Herradura. In Gualchos, the multi-purpose municipal hall, tendered at 1,536,541.69 euros excluding VAT, is listed as concluded, that is, the tender is over and the contract has been closed. On its own it accounts for 42 of every 100 euros of the seven works.
A builder in Motril and a hospitality firm in Almuñécar are born with 3,000 euros each

- The building trades see a company debut in Motril. EVI BUILDS SYSTEMS SOCIEDAD LIMITADA was incorporated with 3,000 euros of share capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company and not its turnover, according to the BORME of 5 October, the Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies, capital changes and closures must be published by law. Its objects cover rendering, construction of residential buildings, electrical installations, plumbing, climate control, insulation, carpentry and coverings.
- Drinks, textiles and accommodation all fit in the new Almuñécar company. WONDERLAND SOULUSIONS SOCIEDAD LIMITADA, registered in Almuñécar according to the same gazette and with another 3,000 euros, declares beverage serving, garment making, wholesale of textiles and of perfume and cosmetics, hotels and accommodation and campsites.
The Junta issues two calls people can apply to from all 18 municipalities, one for almond trees and one for student travel

- Anyone growing almond trees in the comarca now has an official notice. On 6 October the agriculture department (Consejería de Agricultura) of the Junta de Andalucía published in the BDNS, the Base de Datos Nacional de Subvenciones, the National Grants Database, the public register where every administration announces its grants, the call for grants to holders of almond farms, the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant. It is regional, applies to the whole comarca, and its official record says who can apply, how much and until when.
- Students at teaching centres can apply for support with travel. On 7 October the Junta de Andalucía issued a call for travel grants for students doing the Formación en Centros de Trabajo, the workplace training module, in the 2025/26 academic year. The conditions are in the official record.
- Five more Junta records complete the list. Three records of 9 October carry a title that does not make clear whether they accept applications, namely the one from the Agencia Andaluza de Instituciones Culturales for cultural activity in rural areas, another from the Instituto Andaluz de la Mujer and one from the culture and sport department (Consejería de Cultura y Deporte). The remaining two are subvenciones nominativas, named grants, money with a recipient already set, for a university and for a foundation.
Look up on the map the CasasValue of any building in Motril or Almuñécar
Between 4 and 11 October, Motril sent the site of its BMX track to tender while a firm for building works and installations was set up there. Almuñécar recorded another, in hospitality and retail, and both its park and the youth centre works at La Herradura lack a chosen firm so far. Ítrabo is receiving bids, with Wednesday 14 as final day, to buy building materials and hire machinery. Vélez de Benaudalla has ceased receiving bids on its bridge, in Gualchos the multi-purpose municipal hall appears as concluded and the pavements job in Salobreña has its firm. Albondón, Albuñol, Jete, Lentegí, Los Guájares, Lújar, Molvízar, Otívar, Polopos, Rubite, Sorvilán and Torrenueva Costa saw no tender, nor any company formed. From all 18 municipalities people may apply to both Junta calls, the agricultural one for almond trees plus the student travel grants one.
