BAIX PENEDÈS ANÁLISIS Y NEGOCIOS SEMANAL

Baix Penedès comarca · No. 1 · Thursday 1 October 2026 · 5-minute read

The Baix Penedès comarca has six court auctions, more than Gran Canaria and Gran Bilbao

Across the Baix Penedès comarca just one bid remains open, for a detached house in Calafell with 142 metres on a 672-metre plot, until 8 October, in a court auction, meaning a public sale ordered by a court. And Cunit alone registers three new companies, the same number as the whole Selva comarca.

Cunit brings three of five new companies while building works take 76% of the capital

Three Catalan comarcas, three paces
  • Building works are the trade creating the most companies this week. Three of the five companies registered in the Baix Penedès comarca work in building works, full refurbishments or specialised construction, and together they declare 19,000 euros of share capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company and not its turnover. That is 76% of the new capital. It is recorded in the Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil (BORME), the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies, capital changes and closures must be published by law. The largest is EUROJOCH SOLUCIONES Y MONTAJES, set up in Cunit with 10,000 euros for specialised construction (BORME of 29 September).
  • Cunit adds two construction companies in one week. Nexora 360 Servicios 2026 starts up in Cunit with 6,000 euros for building works and refurbishments in homes, shops, garages and commercial and industrial buildings (BORME of 28 September), and with EUROJOCH that makes two new builders in the municipality. In Calafell another building works and full refurbishment firm is set up with 3,000 euros (BORME of 25 September).
  • A grocery business and a dental clinic complete the list. In Cunit a food and drink retail company is registered with 3,000 euros, and MIMODONTOLOGIA opens in El Vendrell with another 3,000 to run dental clinics (BORME of 23 September). So Cunit alone registers three companies, as many as the whole of the Selva comarca, and El Vendrell and Calafell one each. For developers and property managers these are three more contractors to ask for a quote.

A detached house of 142 metres in Calafell is the only open bid among the comarca's six auctions

More auctions than Gran Canaria
  • Calafell offers a detached house with a garage. The single-family home has 142 built square metres, part of them garage, on a 672-metre plot, and accepts bids until 8 October (auction listing). It is the only one of the comarca's six where bids can still be made next week. Anyone who registers on the Portal de Subastas, the BOE's official auction website, can make an offer.
  • In El Vendrell, a home with terraces sees its deadline run out on 1 October, the same day as this edition. A court is auctioning a home of 130 built square metres, with terraces, in a building of three homes put up in 1999 whose CasasValue, the value CASAS.ES estimates for every home, has a median of 221,896 euros (auction listing). Among the El Vendrell auctions with a building CasasValue, it has the highest median value.
  • Two flats in El Vendrell closed bidding on 28 September. One had 106 usable and 132 built square metres in a 2003 building with a median CasasValue of 172,798 euros (listing). The other, 65 usable square metres in a 2005 block with a median CasasValue of 144,163 euros (listing).
  • Two houses with large plots ended on 30 September. In Sant Jaume dels Domenys bidding closed on a home on a 496-metre plot (listing), and in El Vendrell on a house with a garage and porch on a 675-metre site, the largest plot of the comarca's six auctions (listing). With it, four of the comarca's six auctions were in El Vendrell.

The Generalitat opens grants for staff training, for retail and 200,000 euros for neighbourhood associations

Four of 22 calls concern business or housing
  • Two new schemes fund staff training. The Consorci per a la Formació Contínua de Catalunya, the Generalitat body that hands out grants for training workers, publishes two calls in the Base de Datos Nacional de Subvenciones (BDNS), the National Grants Database, the public register where every administration announces its grants. Scheme A pays for the training programmes a company sets up for its own staff (call). Scheme B, those organised by entities for workers of member companies, that is, signed up to the programme, with fewer than 50 people on staff (call).
  • Retail and services get new schemes for 2026. The Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de Catalunya, the Generalitat body that hands out grants to retail, published on 29 September the call for grants to retail and services for 2026 (call).
  • Neighbourhood associations in public housing have 200,000 euros. The Agència de l'Habitatge de Catalunya shares out 200,000 euros among projects by the entities and neighbourhood associations of the housing estates it manages, entities with no economic activity, which can apply until 6 November (call).
  • The rest go to other purposes or already have a recipient. The Departament de Drets Socials i Inclusió opens the XXXIII Premio Voluntariado 2026, its volunteering award (call). Ten of the week's 22 calls already name in their title who they are for, such as Casa América, the Fundació Alícia or the observatories of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (listing) and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (listing).

See the CasasValue of any building in El Vendrell, L'Arboç, Bonastre or El Montmell on the map

From 23 to 30 September, the Baix Penedès comarca registered five companies, three in Cunit, one in El Vendrell and another in Calafell, with construction as the most common trade.
