Algarrobo and Canillas de Albaida gather 89 of every 100 euros in the five works seeking a builder
Algarrobo and Canillas de Albaida account for 1,581,242 of the 1,776,164 euros excluding VAT that the five works currently out to tender across the Axarquía comarca add up to, and the first closing date arrives on 13 October. Besides, 11 newly created companies, six contracts with a winning firm and three Andalusian calls for grants.
Algarrobo closes deadlines on 13 and 14 October, Colmenar on the 14th and 19th and Canillas de Albaida on the 30th

- Algarrobo has the two earliest closing dates and the largest job. The water supply for Calle Buenavista, tendered at 129,111 euros excluding VAT, takes offers until 13 October. Tendered means that it goes out to a licitación, a public tender in which companies bid to carry out works or a service, and excluding VAT means before tax. The fourth phase of adapting the riverbed for sports activities, tendered at 791,577 euros excluding VAT, stays open until 14 October.
- Colmenar improves the sewerage in its Calle Acera del Sol. The sewerage works were published on 28 September, tendered at 82,676 euros excluding VAT, and offers can be made until 19 October. The same town council keeps open until 14 October the upgrade of the water network of Jaldarín, Las Pitas and Carrasco, tendered at 112,246 euros excluding VAT.
- Canillas de Albaida puts a roof over the Llano de la Fuente court. The full town council opened on 1 October the tender for the roof of the multi-sports court, tendered at 660,555 euros excluding VAT. Builders can submit an offer until 30 October.
- Two towns take 89 of every 100 euros. The three works in Algarrobo and Canillas de Albaida add up to 1,581,242 euros excluding VAT, almost nine in every ten of those the Axarquía comarca has open to offers. No deadline expires before 13 October, so this whole week is left to prepare the offer.
Eleven newly registered companies gather 41,000 euros and four choose the property business

- Four of the eleven are devoted to property. Reydwo Inversiones SL, in Rincón de la Victoria, buys and lets property on its own account. Tau Andalucía Soluciones Inmobiliarias SL, in Vélez-Málaga, develops and manages housing cooperatives. Cedro Capital Partners SL, in Torrox, combines consultancy with the buying and selling of property. The fourth, a brokerage agency in Vélez-Málaga, carries a person's name and we do not publish it. All of them are born with 3,000 euros of capital social, the money the partners put in when founding the company, which is not its turnover.
- An ice-cream maker from Rincón de la Victoria is born with 9,000 euros and tops the list by capital. Nodicea Group SL is set up with 9,000 euros to make and sell ice cream, fruit and food. It is followed by Zoco de la Luz SL, from Torrox, with 5,000 euros for rentals and tourist services.
- Vélez-Málaga adds plants, music and a law firm. GML Plantas y Complementos SL is a wholesale trading company whose activities include flowers and plants and Icexmusicdigital SL will produce sound recordings. The list is completed by a farm produce wholesaler from Torrox, the Vélez-Málaga law firm and a meat and fish wholesaler from Benamocarra, which go unnamed.
Rincón de la Victoria and Torrox closed the bidding on three homes, three garages and two storage rooms

- Seven properties in Rincón de la Victoria finished their auction on 1 October. They go in a single procedure with seven assets split into two lots, namely two homes, three garages and two storage rooms. It is a subasta judicial, a public sale ordered by a court, in which anyone can bid. The larger home has 111 built metres and stands in a 2009 building where the median CasasValue, the value CASAS.ES estimates for every home, is 419,330 euros. The other measures 93 metres and the median CasasValue of its building, also from 2009, is 462,415 euros.
- Torrox stopped receiving bids on 28 September for a flat of 39 metres. They are usable metres, not built ones, according to the notice of the auction. In its building, from 2006, the median CasasValue is 180,779 euros. Neither of the two procedures takes bids any longer, and the figure serves as a reference for anyone following the next auctions on the coast.
Four contracts in Torrox, Nerja and Sayalonga gain a company and Torrox-Costa awaits its own

- Aqualia will improve the drinking water supply of Torrox. The contract, tendered at 194,215 euros excluding VAT, is listed this week as resolved, meaning the tender is over and the contract has been closed. The company chosen is Aqualia, a water management company that provides services at every stage of the water cycle.
- The music for the Día del Turista in Torrox is now awarded. The town council completed the adjudicación, the step in which the public body chooses the company that will do the work, of the musical performance for the Día del Turista, tendered at 105,000 euros excluding VAT, to Eternidad Eventos MMXVII SLU. The musical performances of the fair, tendered at 210,314 euros excluding VAT, already had Beat Show SL.
- Nerja settles the electrical installation of its fair and Sayalonga, its surgery refurbishment. The electrical supply and installation for the Nerja fair, tendered at 160,492 euros excluding VAT, goes to Porgesa SA. The partial refurbishment of the doctor's surgery in Sayalonga, tendered at 44,572 euros excluding VAT, will be done by PRV PINTURAS SL. In Cómpeta, the waterproofing of the plaza del Aparcamiento, tendered at 114,945 euros excluding VAT, already had a company, Zum Sport de Pavimentos SL.
- The most expensive contract in the Axarquía comarca remains without a company. The second phase of the new football ground in Torrox-Costa, tendered at 3,642,602 euros excluding VAT, remains under assessment, which means the public body is assessing the bids and has not yet chosen a company. At the same step are the redevelopment of Calle Cantarero, in Maro, tendered at 281,304 euros excluding VAT, the repair of pavements and roadways in one sector of Vélez-Málaga, at 196,001 euros, a supply and works contract in Alfarnate, at 73,631 euros, and the changing rooms for the courts of the San Isidro school in Periana, at 70,952 euros, all excluding VAT.
- Cútar closed on 29 September the delivery of offers for its Casa Museo Nazarí. Offers for the refurbishment, tendered at 76,680 euros excluding VAT, could be submitted until 29 September.
Three Andalusian calls look to storm losses, young people aged 18 to 29 and the 2024/25 work placements

- One call compensates the losses from the flooding of the storms and another is aimed at the young, aged 18 to 29. The Dirección General de Industrias Agroalimentarias of the Junta de Andalucía signed on 1 October the convocatoria, the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant, of the 2026 grants to compensate the losses from the flooding of the storms. A day earlier, the Servicio Andaluz de Empleo, the Junta de Andalucía body that manages employment policy, signed the 2026 call for subsidies for young people aged 18 to 29. The official register we link to does not yet give us an amount or a deadline, so it is worth opening each entry before preparing paperwork.
- Training in workplaces for the 2024/25 school year has a call for travel grants. The Dirección General de Formación Profesional called on 25 September the travel grants for training in workplaces 2024/25, which were registered on 29 September. The three calls are Andalusia-wide in scope.
