Castrillón shares out 117,000 euros in 3 calls for sports schools, events and community engagement

- The Castrillón sports board registers two lines with 87,000 euros and a 10 day window. The Patronato Municipal de Actividades Deportivas de Castrillón registered two grants on 5 October in the BDNS, the National Grants Database, the public register where every administration announces its grants. Line 1, for sports schools, has a budget of 45,000 euros, and line 3, for sports activities and events, one of 42,000. Both are by competitive award, an award in which applications are compared and the best-scored ones receive the grant. They are aimed at legal entities that carry on no economic activity, that is, at organisations and not at individuals or businesses. The window is short, 10 calendar days counted from the day after their publication in the official gazette of Asturias.
- Castrillonízate 2026 provides 30,000 euros for events and community engagement. Castrillón town council approved the call, the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant, and the rules of the grant for events and community engagement Castrillonízate 2026, also published on 5 October. It has 30,000 euros, targets the same type of entities and gives fifteen working days, the days left once Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are excluded, from the moment its official announcement comes out. With it there are 3 municipal calls this week in this municipality, and between the three they add up to 117,000 euros.
- Energy guarantee in Illas and an earmarked grant of 18,000 euros at Avilés city council. Illas town council published on 5 October the 2026 call for its social emergency aid for energy guarantee, with a budget of 5,840 euros. Its official announcement aims the aid at natural persons with no economic activity and sets a one month window from the publication of its extract. Avilés city council registered on 6 October an earmarked grant to a foundation for the 2026 financial year, of 18,000 euros. An earmarked grant is a grant set aside for a named recipient, which nobody else can apply for.

Castrillón town council published on 9 October the repair of the envelope, gutters and downpipes of the Polideportivo Municipal de Piedras Blancas, put out to tender for 73,983 euros excluding VAT, that is, before VAT. A tender is a public competition in which companies submit bids. There are 17 days to bid, until 26 October. It is the only contract in the Avilés comarca with an open deadline on the Public Sector Procurement Platform, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders.
- Three municipal works add up to 938,302 euros with the contractor still pending. They remain under assessment, that is, the public body is assessing the bids and has not yet chosen a company. Next come the reorganisation of traffic and accessibility in La Folleca, in the city of Avilés, and the drinking water treatment at Los Veneros, in Soto del Barco, which closed to bids on 6 October.
- Castrillón traffic cameras have their company by now. The video surveillance and traffic control system by number plate reading appears as awarded. The award is the step in which the public body chooses the company that will do the work. With the sports centre, Castrillón has 2 of the 5 municipal contracts in the comarca.
- CONSTRUVENTOS NORTE gets registered in the city of Avilés between trade fairs and property.
