Two flats in Figueres up for auction until 1 and 7 October, and Portbou will refurbish its dispensary

Figueres, the capital of the Alt Empordà comarca, keeps two flat auctions open, closing on 1 and 7 October, and one flat sits in a 1989 block that is the second cheapest of the buildings auctioned across the 21 comarcas covered today. The Catalan government, the Generalitat, is paying for the refurbishment of the Portbou dispensary, five town councils are opening grants for families and local associations, and L'Escala welcomes a new estate agency for holiday rentals.

Funded staff training in two Consorci schemes and 26,000 euros from Figueres for its fairs

Figueres puts up more than half of the municipal money this week

Catalan companies can apply for funded training for their staff. The Consorci per a la Formació Contínua de Catalunya registered two schemes on 25 September in the BDNS, the national grants database. Scheme A covers the plans that companies submit for their own workers, and scheme B the programmes that organisations submit for staff at member companies with fewer than 50 people. Each entry sets out who can apply and how.
Figueres funds the Fòrum Gastronòmic with 17,000 euros and the Fira 1 de maig with 9,000. These are two direct grants with the beneficiary already named, published in the BDNS on 22 September, the agreement with Incatis SL for the Fòrum Gastronòmic 2026, a food event, and the agreement with the Asociación Casino Menestral Figuerenc for the Fira 1 de maig, the 1 May fair. For hospitality businesses and shops in the capital, these are the two events the City Council has already paid for.
Rural shops in Catalonia have an ARREL programme in 2026. The Catalan Department of Business and Labour (Empresa i Treball) registered on 21 September the grant to the Consell de Cambres for the ARREL programme supporting rural commerce in 2026. Village shops access it through their chamber of commerce.

Figueres auctions flats of 79 and 73 metres and Roses adds a home, with bidding closing from 1 to 15 October

Three closing dates in fifteen days of October

The three-bedroom flat in Figueres can only be bid on until this Thursday. A court is auctioning a 79 metre home in Figueres, with three bedrooms. It is the larger of the two whose notice gives a floor area.
The other flat in Figueres sits in one of the least valued buildings by CasasValue across the 21 comarcas covered today. The home of 73 usable metres in Figueres is in a 1989 building with a median CasasValue of 86,407 euros, the second lowest among the buildings with an auction in the 21 comarcas and 44% below the median for the city, 153,926 euros. Bids are accepted until 7 October.
Roses adds a home that went onto the portal on 25 September. The home in Roses can be bid on until 15 October. The notice does not give its floor area.

L'Escala registers an estate agency for sales and holiday rentals with 13,964 euros of capital

One new company in the comarca, out of 280 in the 21 comarcas covered today

L'Escala gains a property company for sales and holiday rentals, with 13,964 euros. The BORME, the official gazette of the Companies Register, publishes on 25 September the incorporation of Projectes Empordà Finques SL, with its registered office in L'Escala. It covers property intermediation, tourist and short-stay accommodation, buying and selling property on its own account and management on behalf of third parties.
No other new company appears in the BORME in the Alt Empordà comarca this week. Between 20 and 27 September the Official Gazette of the Companies Register lists no other incorporation in the Alt Empordà comarca. For an agent, the purpose of the new company shows how new investment is entering L'Escala, through sales and short-stay rentals.

Portbou will refurbish its dispensary and five town councils open grants for families and associations

Nine municipalities with news of their own, Figueres accounts for 5 of the 13

The Generalitat is paying for the refurbishment of the Portbou dispensary. The Departament de la Presidència of the Catalan government registered in the BDNS on 23 September a named grant to Portbou Town Council to refurbish the dispensary, the medical surgery of this border town.
The Pavelló Roser Llop in Figueres will change its hot water system to fight legionella. Dipsalut, the public health body of the Diputació de Girona, the provincial council, registered on 25 September a direct grant to Figueres City Council to modify the domestic hot water system of the Pavelló Roser Llop sports hall and reduce the risk of legionella.
Pedret i Marzà closes its book grants on 30 September, with 4,000 euros. Families in Pedret i Marzà have until Wednesday to apply for the textbook and school materials grant. In Llançà there are 6,500 euros for school materials until 31 December, in Palau-saverdera, 3,201.18 euros for books for 15 days from publication in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Girona, the provincial gazette, and in Torroella de Fluvià, 1,000 euros for nursery costs until 31 October.
Sant Llorenç de la Muga shares 3,000 euros among its associations. The 2026 call for non-profit organisations and associations accepts applications for one month from its publication in the provincial gazette.
Municipal libraries can apply for money for works. The Diputació de Girona registered on 25 September the 2026 call for refurbishment, improvement and maintenance works on public reading facilities.

Nor did the ring around Figueres, with Vilafant, Llers, Vilamalla, Vila-sacra, Vilabertran, Fortià, Borrassà, Avinyonet de Puigventós, Santa Llogaia d'Àlguema, El Far d'Empordà, Pont de Molins, Cabanes, Peralada and Garriguella, nor the border area and the Albera, with La Jonquera, Agullana, Darnius, Maçanet de Cabrenys, Capmany, Cantallops, Espolla, Rabós, Sant Climent Sescebes, Mollet de Peralada, Masarac i Vilarnadal, Vilamaniscle, Biure, La Vajol and Boadella i les Escaules, nor the interior and the Fluvià valley, with Navata, Bàscara, Sant Miquel de Fluvià, Saus, Camallera i Llampaies, Lladó, Garrigàs, Ordis, Vilamacolum, Vilanant, Terrades, Pontós, Cabanelles, Cistella, Riumors, Siurana, Vilaür, Sant Mori, Albanyà, Viladamat and Palau de Santa Eulàlia. Their companies can apply for the Consorci training and their town councils for the Diputació library call. No works or services tender in these municipalities appears in the latest available public contracts register, dated 8 September.
