Mos tenders 35.1 million in energy services until 14 October, over 70 times the other five open works

The Vigo comarca has its largest open contract in Mos, the city of Vigo accounts for 13 of its 17 new companies, Vigo City Council is looking to buy empty homes with 2.5 million and three homes go to auction.

  • Mos is looking for a partner to renew its infrastructure. Since 10 September the Mos council plenary has been tendering, for 35,076,461 euros excluding VAT, a supply, services and works contract to renew the municipal infrastructure under the energy services company model, in which the contractor invests and is paid out of the savings. Bids are accepted until 14 October. It is more than 70 times what the other five open works in the comarca add up to.
  • COVSA adds another municipal job in Mos. Mos awarded CONSTRUCCIONES OBRAS Y VIALES SA (COVSA) the improvement of the area around the church of Sanguiñeda, tendered for 990,171 euros excluding VAT. It already had the road safety works on the San Cosme and da Quinta lanes, tendered for 193,422 euros excluding VAT.
  • The University renews the roofs of two schools. The Platform lists as awarded the University of Vigo contract to replace the roofs of the schools of Industrial Engineering and Telecommunications, tendered for 232,365 euros excluding VAT. Fornelos de Montes commissioned CONSTRUCCIONES CALDEVERGAZO SL to build the Campeliños lane, in Estacas, tendered for 49,734 euros, and the Vigo planning department (Gerencia de Urbanismo) made an emergency award to RESIGAL GESTION INTEGRAL DE GALICIA SL for the partial demolition of a building, with a budget of 17,850 euros, both excluding VAT.
  • The city of Vigo has three open works of under 140,000 euros. Since 8 September Vigo City Council has been tendering a dog recreation area in the Barreiro green space for 139,493 euros, until 19 October, and since the 14th a retaining wall and fence at CEIP Mestres Goldar for 115,906 euros, until 13 October. And the MARCO Foundation is renewing downpipes and waterproofing the museum dome for 85,980 euros, until 20 October, all excluding VAT.
  • Gondomar and Fornelos close earlier, and Baiona is already assessing bids. Gondomar is paving the Santa Lucía road in Vincios and laying storm drains there for 69,196 euros excluding VAT, with bids until 7 October, and Fornelos de Montes is refurbishing the changing rooms of its sports complex for 65,973 euros excluding VAT, until 8 October. In Baiona, the deadline to bid for the resurfacing of Camino Triguido, worth 48,769 euros excluding VAT, closed on 24 September and the contract is being assessed.

What the 17 new BORME companies do
  • Construction picks the city of Vigo for a new firm and a branch. OBRALZA PROYECTOS SL registers in Vigo with 3,000 euros to build residential and non-residential buildings, and MILLENNIALS CONSTRUYEN LDA opens a branch in Spain, based in Vigo, for construction, renovation and refurbishment works.
  • Property holdings add two companies. PROMOCIONES INMOBILIARIAS ABJ 2026 SL is set up in Mos with 3,000 euros of capital to acquire, hold and let property, and BISTROVGO 2026 SL, in Vigo and with another 3,000 euros, combines a holding company with buying, selling and letting real estate.
  • Cybersecurity brings the largest capital. INCIF SOLUTION SL starts in Vigo with 60,000 euros, the largest capital of the week, for managed cybersecurity services. The city of Vigo accounts for 13 of the 17 incorporations in the comarca, and Mos, Redondela, Salceda de Caselas and O Porriño add one each.
  • The fishing and maritime sector has new grants for collective projects. On 23 September the Galician Department of the Sea (Consellería del Mar) published in the BDNS the order of 15 September setting the rules and the 2026 call for grants for collective projects co-financed by the EMFAF (FEMPA), awarded on a competitive basis. The amount and the application deadline are in the listing.

What is moving in housing in the comarca
  • Gondomar offers a two-storey terraced house. A court is auctioning a terraced single-family home on two floors in Gondomar, with bids until 7 October.
  • The city puts a 65 metre flat and a 75 metre one up for bidding. In Vigo there is a 65 square metre flat, with bids until 8 October, and another of 75 metres, opened on 23 September and closing on 13 October.
  • The City Council wants to buy empty flats and prepares housing in Esturáns. The Vigo municipal planning department (Gerencia Municipal de Urbanismo) accepts offers until 2 November for the purchase of empty homes in the municipality, with 2,500,000 euros excluding VAT, a way out for anyone with a flat standing empty. And it is assessing, with the deadline closed on 17 September, the health and safety coordination for the construction of the housing block on the municipal plot in Esturáns, for 22,606 euros excluding VAT.

From 19 to 26 September, Mos kept its 35.1 million energy services contract open, Gondomar, Fornelos de Montes and Vigo City Council are taking bids for their works and Baiona stopped accepting them for Camino Triguido. The Platform lists as awarded the improvement of the area around the church of Sanguiñeda, in Mos, to COVSA, the University of Vigo roofs and a lane in Fornelos de Montes. Vigo City Council is looking to buy empty homes and is assessing the coordination of the Esturáns works. The BORME recorded incorporations in Vigo, Mos, Redondela, Salceda de Caselas and O Porriño. Court auctions list a house in Gondomar plus two flats within the city of Vigo. In Pazos de Borbén, Soutomaior and Nigrán the data package for this week has no tenders, auctions or incorporations.
