Segovia city council's resurfacing, 515,540 euros, is worth more than double the other 3 open tenders

The governing board of Segovia city council wants a building firm by 9 October to resurface streets both of the city and of the Polígono de Hontoria and Revenga, tendered for 515,540 euros before VAT, 2.2 times what the other unclosed tenders of the Segovia comarca add up to together. Torrecaballeros, Palazuelos de Eresma and Navas de San Antonio await bids, the city of Segovia and Orejana welcome a trio of new companies, while the young of Castilla y León have a new grant towards their driving licence.

A quiet week compared with other inland comarcas

A glass and fitting business opens the list. CRISTALERIA LA ALBUERA NG SL published its incorporation on 24 September in the Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil (BORME), the gazette where every newly created company is published. Its registered office is the city of Segovia, it sells and fits glass, mirrors, tiles and bathroom fittings and it starts out with 5,000 euros of capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company, not its turnover. It is the largest of the three.
IT and training round off the registrations, at 3,000 euros each. FACTURAS VERIFICADAS SOCIEDAD LIMITADA, likewise a city of Segovia company, provides IT and office services, and its incorporation appeared in the BORME of 30 September. INTERACTING PLUS EDUCATION SOCIEDAD LIMITADA is set up with its registered office in Orejana to work in teaching, and its incorporation was published on 1 October.
None of the three is a developer or a builder. Together the three hold 11,000 euros of capital and each registration has its BORME link in the points above. For an investor, the week brings trades and services, not bricks and mortar.

The city's street resurfacing outstrips Plaza de la Costana

The city's asphalt reaches Hontoria and Revenga. The governing board of Segovia city council splits into three lots the resurfacing and improvement of various streets and, in the third, those of the Polígono de Hontoria and Revenga, tendered for 515,540.08 euros before VAT. It accepts bids until 9 October and is by far the largest open tender in the comarca. In Torrecaballeros, the paving of Calle Los Ranchos, in Cabanillas del Monte, is tendered for 49,361.55 euros before VAT, with a deadline of 6 October.
Palazuelos de Eresma sets a deadline for its park beside the Arroyo de la Vega. The tender run by Palazuelos de Eresma town council, a public tender in which companies bid to carry out works or a service, accepts bids until 2 October for the new park and the pedestrian footbridges. It is tendered for 107,872.93 euros before VAT.
Navas de San Antonio repairs its sports court. The tender from Navas de San Antonio town council stays open until 7 October and the job is tendered for 73,318.86 euros before VAT. Bids go through the Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders for works and services.
Two tenders are past their closing date. The redevelopment of the Costana, in La Lastrilla, closed on 28 September with an amount of 328,105.80 euros before VAT. The self-cleaning public toilet of the Plaza Oriental, a city of Segovia square, closed on 1 October and came out at 72,479.40 euros before VAT.

Three projects in the Segovia comarca now resolved, tendered together for 1,442,608 euros before VAT

Eight in every ten euros tendered are for the Puente Alta dam

The outlets of the Puente Alta dam, in Revenga, are now in a builder's hands. The project for efficiency, digitalisation and monitoring of the dam's outlets, commissioned by the governing board of Segovia city council, has now reached its award, the step in which the public body chooses the company that will do the work. A construction firm takes it on and it was tendered for 1,188,279.83 euros before VAT.
Tecnología de Firmes improves the Polígono Las Eras. The town council of Real Sitio de San Ildefonso resolved the second phase of the industrial estate in favour of that company, so the tender is over. The job was tendered for 90,367.77 euros before VAT.
Cerezo de Abajo resolved its doctor's surgery with pharmacy. The full council declared the tender for the new building resolved, tendered for 163,959.95 euros before VAT. The public record does not yet show which company will build it.

Regional driving licence grant for young people and 2 direct subsidies for companies

One of the week's three grants is open to applications

A grant towards the driving licence. The Consejería de Movilidad, Transformación Digital e Inteligencia Artificial of the Junta de Castilla y León announced grants on 28 September so that young people from Castilla y León can obtain the class B driving licence. Who can apply and until when is set out in the linked call.
Seventh batch for sole traders and small firms evacuated by the wildfires. The Instituto para la Competitividad Empresarial de Castilla y León received authorisation to grant another batch directly to businesses in the localities evacuated in the summer of 2026. It goes to recipients already named and opens no application.
Innovative business clusters have a direct grant authorised. The Consejería de Economía y Hacienda has authorisation for the direct grant to the Agrupaciones Empresariales Innovadoras de Castilla y León. It cannot be applied for either.
