Calle 30 tenders 5.1 million for lighting in the M-30 tunnels and ADIF 2.8 million at Atocha

Of the 545 companies incorporated today in the 21 comarcas covered, 382, seven out of ten, are in the Madrid comarca. Calle 30, the municipal company that runs the M-30 ring road, tenders the lighting of its tunnels, and 11 auctions are still open, 3 of them new.

From Tuesday 29 to 23 October, nine major deadlines
  • Calle 30 renews the lighting in the M-30 tunnels. Madrid Calle 30 puts out to tender, for 5,067,156 euros before VAT, phase I of the renewal of the permanent lighting in its tunnels, with bids until 6 October. It is the largest open tender in the Madrid comarca. Tender documents.
  • ADIF replaces the track switches at Atocha Cercanías. ADIF, the state rail infrastructure manager, tenders for 2,829,443 euros the switches and crossings at the Recoletos end of Atocha Cercanías, the commuter rail station, with bids until 23 October (tender). The Banco de España turns a space in its Cibeles building into an archive for works of art for 1,360,000, until the 21st (tender).
  • The Montera 18 building gets a top to bottom refurbishment. The Secretaría General para la Innovación, the government's innovation secretariat, tenders the full refurbishment of Montera 18, in the Centro district, for 3,743,609 euros, until 9 October (tender). Tráfico, the traffic authority, waterproofs its Cuatro Vientos hangar for 1,408,007 until the 5th (tender) and the fire protection network at San Juan de la Cruz, worth 1,152,503, closes on Tuesday 29 (tender).
  • The Policía Nacional and CIEMAT are looking for installers. The Policía Nacional, the national police force, tenders the roof of a police building for 482,427 euros, the air handling units at Canillas for 208,021 and fire protection for the UIP riot unit in Moratalaz for 169,907, until 13 October. CIEMAT, a public energy research centre, in Moncloa, adds air conditioning for 420,026 and a laboratory for 371,554, until the 9th.
  • Cuatro Vientos closes two tenders before 9 October. The Cuatro Vientos Air Base resurfaces an apron for 107,424 euros until 30 September (details) and air-conditions its Barberán y Collar residence for 176,571 until 8 October (details).

The EMVS weighs restarting Espinillo 6 in Villaverde, for 12.6 million, and 100 million of industrialised housing in Vicálvaro

The 25 EMVS files and where each one stands
  • Villaverde and Vicálvaro concentrate the public housing at stake. The EMVS, Madrid City Council's housing company, has been reviewing since August the bids to restart work on the Espinillo 6 development, in Villaverde, for 12,554,324 euros before VAT (file). Also under review since May is the design and construction of industrialised homes in three lots in Vicálvaro, for 100,088,841 euros (file). In the same district, the works for the Cañaveral 10 development appear as resolved in favour of Tableros y Puentes for 7,368,638 euros (file).
  • The Barrio del Aeropuerto awaits a modular building and new streets. In Barajas, the EMVS is assessing the modular building on plot R-1 for 5,980,782 euros (details) and the urbanisation of APR-21.02, an urban renewal area, for 2,728,325 (details). It is also reviewing the maintenance of its properties for 16,150,000 euros (details).
  • Serveo, OHL Servicios-Ingesan and Eiffage Energía refurbish flats district by district. Serveo Servicios refurbishes flats in Puente de Vallecas, Latina and Centro, OHL Servicios-Ingesan in Moncloa-Aravaca and Eiffage Energía in Barajas, all for under 50,000 euros.

The EMT has still not awarded its La Elipa centre, worth 134.3 million, and La Atalayuela awaits a builder

How long the works under review have been waiting
  • The EMT has yet to choose a builder for La Elipa. The Empresa Municipal de Transportes, the city's bus company, has been assessing since 9 July the bids to design and build its Operations Centre, for 134,322,875 euros before VAT, the most expensive works at stake in the city. File.
  • Villa de Vallecas, Retiro and Puente de Vallecas await three municipal works. The Área de Gobierno de Obras y Equipamientos, the City Council's works department, has been reviewing since 15 September the bids for the La Atalayuela logistics complex, in Villa de Vallecas, for 9,532,353 euros (file), the Los Pajaritos nursery school in Retiro for 4,602,104 (file) and the Escuela de Música, a music school, in Puente de Vallecas for 4,312,942 (file).

Four companies with repeat contracts
  • Puente de Vallecas and the Colonia Manzanares get new neighbourhood works. Imesapi will develop the space under the Puente de Vallecas in two phases, for 2,561,809 euros (phase I) and 1,770,822 (phase 2). Licuas and Coarsa make the Colonia Manzanares accessible for 1,585,097 (details) and Vicálvaro gains a ramp in Puerta de Arganda for 862,837 (details), all resolved on the 21st and 22nd.
  • Nursery schools and senior centres share out smaller works. Ferrovial refurbishes the Pléyades nursery school in Valdebebas for 258,113 euros (details), the Luis Bello school in Chamartín receives 160,501 (details) and OHL Servicios-Ingesan fits out the Centro de Mayores Pérez Galdós, a senior centre, for 123,103 (details).
  • Aena renews runway 18R-36L at Barajas and its taxiways. Aena, the state airport operator, awards the regeneration of the runway pavement to the UTE, or joint venture, of Padecasa and Conelsan Elsan for 39,768,485 euros (details), and the taxiways and service roads to Ecoasfalt and Ferrovial. Sacyr appears as the contractor for the works at Castellana 106-108, worth 54,831,876 euros (decision).

Seven in ten of the day's new companies
  • The best-funded new property firm launches with 300,000 euros to let homes and premises. Calle Muntaner 210 SL is incorporated with 300,000 euros to let property, the largest property capital of the week (BORME, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register).
  • A holding and advisory firm registers 1.1 million, the top figure among this week's incorporations. A company for advice and shareholdings in other companies is entered on the 28th with 1,105,173 euros (BORME). Behind it come Quinque Rami SL, with 664,000 for restaurants (BORME), and Kewaunee Lab Distribution SL, with 527,742 (BORME). China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation opens a construction branch (BORME).
  • The Consejería, the regional ministry, opens new grants for private forests and for handing on farms. The Environment department calls grants with FEADER, the EU rural development fund, for private woodland, for forestry work and forest damage, and another for the succession of farms. Madrid City Council can apply for those for health promotion and school sport.

The city of Madrid, which is the whole of the Madrid comarca, added between 21 and 28 September three new auctions, 382 companies and the works for Puente de Vallecas and the Colonia Manzanares. Atocha, the M-30 and Montera 18 remain open, and La Elipa, La Atalayuela and Espinillo 6 are still being assessed.
