Seven works in the Cáceres comarca total 2.3 million with no contractor, twelve euros per euro already placed
In the Cáceres comarca, seven works of 100,000 euros or more have yet to see a contractor picked and total 2.3 million before VAT, twelve euros for each euro of the three contracts that this week show a chosen firm. Four others have deadlines that have not lapsed, and the Torreorgaz old people's home is the largest. Aliseda is selling a 246-metre council house built in 1930 and Cáceres city council takes an urban IBI rate of 0.70 per cent to the gazette.
The full council of the city of Cáceres gives a first green light to an urban IBI of 0.70 per cent, 700 euros a year per 100,000 of taxable base

- The Cáceres full council takes both rates of the tax on property to the gazette. Cáceres city council gave initial approval on 17 September to changing the bylaw on IBI, property tax, the council tax that owners of homes, premises and land pay every year. The notice of 2 October in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia, the Provincial Official Gazette, where the provincial council and town halls publish their notices, sets out a rate of 0.70 per cent for urban properties and 0.85 per cent for rural ones, still without final approval. The notice does not publish the rate now in force, so it does not show whether the bill goes up or down, and it refers readers to the bylaw on the council website. Every 100,000 euros of taxable base means 700 a year in tax on an urban property and 850 on a rural one. There are 30 working days, the days left once Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are excluded, to object, and if nobody lodges a claim the decision stands approved without another council meeting.
- Aliseda puts a 246-metre council house up for sale to the highest bidder. The town council is calling the sale of a residential property with 246 built metres on a plot of 197, put up in 1930 and with no registered charges. Bids, upwards only, are submitted over 15 working days from 3 October at the council registry or through its online office. The sale is held within the 10 working days after the close, on a date the council will announce in that online office, where the conditions document is also available.
- Montánchez and Sierra de Fuentes have files in their claims period. In Montánchez the 30 days for claims continue against the rise from 0.60 to 1.30 per cent in the IBI on properties with special characteristics, which the full council approved unanimously on 25 September. In Sierra de Fuentes, the Diario Oficial de Extremadura, the official gazette where the regional government publishes its rules and notices, puts on public display the initial approval of an estudio de detalle, a municipal planning procedure.
Torreorgaz, Casas de Millán and Aliseda publish 566,504 euros in municipal works on the same 1 October

- Torreorgaz enlarges its old people's home and its bidding ends on 20 October. On 1 October the full council published phase I of the care home extension on the Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders for works and services. It goes out to licitación, a public tender, in which companies bid to carry out works or a service, for 301,777 euros sin IVA, before VAT. That is 39 per cent of the 764,851 euros before VAT of the four works open in the comarca.
- Casas de Millán calls a tender for a sports hall with 21 October as the final day. The hall for sport and culture is tendered for 185,347 euros before VAT. The Platform keeps another municipal tender under assessment for a hall of the same amount, with a deadline that passed in July, which means the public body is assessing the bids and has not yet chosen a company.
- The Aliseda doctor's surgery is being refurbished and its tender expires on 23 October. The refurbishment of the surgery is tendered for 79,380 euros before VAT.
- The capital's dance conservatoire is first to close, on 15 October. The Diputación Provincial de Cáceres, the provincial council, which mainly serves small towns, keeps open the works on the El Brocense conservatoire, tendered for 198,347 euros before VAT. In Albalá, the period for the soundproofing of the auditorium, tendered for 50,000 euros before VAT, ended on 6 October.
The city of Cáceres has two contracts and Malpartida one listed with a firm, while seven more wait with 2.3 million

- The town hall facade that looks onto the Foro de los Balbos has a restoration firm. The restoration of the paintings on the east facade, tendered for 83,310 euros before VAT, is recorded as awarded, the step in which the public body chooses the company that will do the work, to IN SITU CONSERVACIÓN Y RESTAURACIÓN.
- An excavation company takes charge of the tracks of Malpartida de Cáceres. The repair of the tracks damaged by the storms, tendered for 51,491 euros before VAT, is recorded as resolved with R&A ALBALAT EXCAVACIONES Y OBRA CIVIL. The evacuation stairs of the Guardia Civil, tendered for 61,055 euros before VAT, appear with MONTAJES METALICOS DEL SOL.
- Seven tenders of more than 100,000 euros have their proposals under assessment. The largest is that of the roofs of the Complejo Cultural San Francisco, at 700,083 euros before VAT. It is followed by the surface of two roads, at 500,000 euros and with only the Monroy stretch inside the comarca, the reconstruction of Cañaveral after the storm, at 485,031, and its preventive defences, at 133,717. The list is completed by the school in Sierra de Fuentes, at 175,868 euros, the dams of Casar de Cáceres, at 133,298, and a sports hall in Casas de Millán, at 185,347, the same amount as the one now accepting bids. None of the seven takes proposals any longer. Below 100,000 euros, still under assessment are the emergency helipad in Arroyo de la Luz, tendered for 41,322 euros before VAT, and the project to refurbish three homes in the city of Cáceres, for 25,425.
The SEXPE opens 7 self-employment calls while the Cáceres comarca registers 3 companies

- Anyone going self-employed in Extremadura has seven lines of support open. The SEXPE, the Extremadura Public Employment Service, the regional government body that runs employment policies, registered on 3 October its convocatorias up to 2027, each one the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant. They are recorded in the BDNS, the National Grants Database, the public register where every administration announces its grants. There are six programmes in 7 calls, because programme I, for unemployed people who set up on their own, comes out twice depending on its funding, once with the European Social Fund Plus and once with other funds. The rest support the self-employed person who takes on an unemployed person as a relative who helps in the business, the Social Security contribution, people in work who set up on their own, one more year registered and the contribution of those relatives. Amount and closing date are in each listing.
- Architects and arts students have two calls with money and a deadline. The Junta de Extremadura registered on 2 October the Premios de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de Extremadura, the region's architecture and urban planning prizes, with a budget of 28,000 euros and one month to enter from the day after their publication in the Diario Oficial de Extremadura. Municipalities, individuals, companies and organisations may enter. The Instituto Municipal de Asuntos Sociales, the social affairs institute of Cáceres city council, had registered on the 1st the Mobility Grants Cáceres 2031, grants for European mobility in formal arts training. They have 15,000 euros and a period of 15 working days from the moment their summary appears in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia.
- Cleaning, training and finance launch new companies between the city of Cáceres and Arroyo de la Luz. The BORME of 1 October, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies, capital changes and closures must be published by law, records three incorporations with 3,000 euros of capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company, which is not turnover. BOQUERON DE BELLOTA, in finance, and LIMPEX SERVICIOS EXTREMADURA, in cleaning and services for the elderly, are domiciled in the city of Cáceres, and INSIGNIA ENSEÑANZA Y FORMACION, in vocational training, in Arroyo de la Luz. None is a property or construction company.
From 29 September to 6 October 2026, the Cáceres comarca gathers seven works lacking a contractor for now, jointly close to 2.3 million, and keeps another four within the period to bid. The city of Cáceres takes both rates of its property tax to the gazette, with initial approval, sees the paintings on the town hall facade awarded and keeps the dance conservatoire within its deadline. Aliseda is selling a council house and refurbishing the doctor's surgery, Torreorgaz enlarges its old people's centre, Casas de Millán calls a tender for a sports hall, while in Albalá the call for the auditorium expired. Montánchez is processing the levy on special-characteristics properties, Sierra de Fuentes puts a planning document on display and has its school pending, Malpartida de Cáceres repairs tracks, Cañaveral, Monroy and Casar de Cáceres await a decision and Arroyo de la Luz has a helipad that lacks its builder so far and registers a vocational training academy. Torremocha already had its rural estates contract resolved. For Benquerencia, Hinojal, Alcuéscar, Talaván, Valdefuentes, Garrovillas de Alconétar, Botija, Arroyomolinos, Valdemorales, Aldea del Cano, Casas de Don Antonio, Torrequemada, Santiago del Campo, Zarza de Montánchez and Torre de Santa María, what can be used from these days are the seven SEXPE calls for sole traders, valid throughout Extremadura.
