Baix Empordà comarca · No. 3 · Friday 23 October 2026 · 5-minute read

A La Bisbal haulier puts up 114,000 of the 151,002 euros that the seven Baix Empordà comarca newcomers bring

From 15 to 22 October seven firms opened their doors, giving the Baix Empordà comarca 151,002 euros in share capital, with 75.5 per cent supplied by the new haulage firm of La Bisbal d'Empordà. Of the BDNS grants database's 43 entries, 20 accept applications: nine from the Diputació for 2027 and five from Palafrugell town council.

The new La Bisbal haulier, with 114,000 euros, triples what the other six newcomers put in together

The haulier provides three in every four euros
  • La Bisbal d'Empordà gains a road freight operator. The BORME of 16 October, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies, capital changes and closures must be published by law, lists a limited company based in La Bisbal d'Empordà and share capital of 114,000 euros, the money the partners put in when founding the company. It will carry goods by road, nationally and internationally, and handle storage and distribution, including a freight agency. Its name contains that of a person and we do not publish it. On its own it accounts for three quarters of the capital of the seven newly registered firms in the comarca.
  • Two investment vehicles choose Palamós and Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The BORME of 15 October brings Keapachao SL in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, with 25,000 euros, to manage stakes in other companies and advise them, and Quattro Nove Costa Brava SL in Palamós, with 3,000, to buy and administer shares and stakes on its own account. Both are holding companies, each one a company whose business is holding shares or stakes in other businesses.
  • A garage, a gardening firm and a farm services company complete the week. The BORME of 20 October adds La Bisbal d'Empordà's Garatge Estacio SL, for vehicle repairs, and in Palafrugell a gardening business for parks, housing estates and sports grounds, which we do not name because it carries a person's name, both with 3,000 euros. The BORME of 22 October brings La Vall Treballs Agricoles SL in La Tallada d'Empordà, for agricultural services, also with 3,000, and the issue of 15 October includes Brain On My Sales SL in Forallac, for IT services, with 2 euros.
  • Two court-ordered sales ended on 15 October. Bidding closed on 15 October for two auctions in the comarca on the Portal de Subastas, the official website of the BOE, Spain's Official State Gazette, where courts and public bodies auction property. Both were court auctions, a public sale ordered by a court. One offered five garage spaces in Palamós, in a single file with no lots, and the other a home in Torroella de Montgrí. No edicto, the official notice of the auction, gives a floor area.

The Diputació de Girona has already logged nine grant lines for 2027 and the Generalitat adds five

The Diputació signs 9 of the 20 that accept applications
  • Local shops already have a grant line for 2027. The provincial council, Diputació de Girona, registered on 16 October in the Base de Datos Nacional de Subvenciones (BDNS), the National Grants Database, the public register where every administration announces its grants, nine grant lines brought forward against the 2027 budget. Among them are local shops, the technology sector, smart lockers, one-off projects and economic promotion activities. Who can apply, how much and by when is set out in each official BDNS record.
  • Another three lines target networks of town councils and markets. The XSLPE and non-XSLPE lines take their name from the XSLPE, Girona Provincial Council's network of town councils, county councils and local economic development agencies, and the XMSG line from the network of publicly owned covered municipal markets in the province of Girona. The ninth covers action plans for 2027.
  • Empresa i Treball backs firms that carry on and entrepreneurs who try again. The Departament d'Empresa i Treball, the Catalan government department responsible for business, employment and digital policy, registered on 19 October its grants for business continuity and second chances 2027-2028, aimed, according to their title, at keeping companies running and at those who start up again. On the 21st, the Generalitat de Catalunya, the system of institutions through which Catalonia governs itself, added grants to develop post-consumer textile recycling technologies.
  • The adverse weather of 2026 reaches irrigation too. The Departament d'Agricultura, Catalonia's government department for agriculture, livestock, fisheries and food, logged on 16 October grants for irrigation communities affected by adverse weather events in 2026. A comunidad de regantes, or irrigation community, is the statutory body formed by everyone who irrigates from the same water intake or concession.
