Four councils of the Alt Penedès comarca assign 73,700 euros to shopkeepers, clubs and a choir

From their town halls and in one week, Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Vilafranca del Penedès, La Granada and Santa Margarida i els Monjos recorded 12 earmarked grants and agreements worth 73,700 euros, 8,500 more than the sum paid in by the 6 firms newly created in the Alt Penedès comarca. Sant Sadurní d'Anoia is also calling 39,000 euros for sport and popular culture, with a window of 15 working days, the days left once Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are excluded.

Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues and Sant Pere de Riudebitlles account for 53,110 of the 65,200 euros of company capital

A software firm in Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues starts out with 30,000 euros. The BORME, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, published on 5 October the incorporation of HIPOCORE SOFTWARE S.L. It is born with 30,000 euros of capital social, the money the partners put in when founding the company. Its purpose is to design and maintain computer applications, web platforms and software as a service solutions.
Sant Pere de Riudebitlles gains a firm devoted to processes for food liquids. The BORME of 9 October published the incorporation of PYKNOS VIREFINAT S.L, with 23,110 euros. Its purpose is to develop industrial processes linked to reverse osmosis and nanofiltration applicable to food liquids. Together with the software firm it gathers 81.5 per cent of the capital of the 6 new companies in the Alt Penedès comarca.
Plant breeding in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia and sound recording in Sant Llorenç d'Hortons. SOILCEA S.L, published on 6 October with 3,000 euros, will work on genetic improvement and the development of plant varieties. NO NAME SOUND S.L, of 9 October and with 3,090 euros, on sound recording and music publishing.
A property developer and an electrical installer, the two newcomers in Vilafranca del Penedès. RIARNU S.L, of 6 October and with 3,000 euros, will develop, sell and let homes, commercial premises and industrial units. On the 5th an electrical installations company was published there, also with 3,000 euros.

Sant Sadurní d'Anoia calls 39,000 euros for sport and popular culture with a window of 15 working days

Sport and popular culture in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, with 15 working days ahead. The BDNS, the national database where administrations publish their grants, picked up on 7 October two convocatorias from the town council, the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant. There are 20,000 euros for sporting activities and 19,000 for cultural and popular culture activities, under concurrencia competitiva, an award in which applications are compared and the best-scored ones receive the grant. The window runs from the day after each call is published in the BOP, the Provincial Official Gazette.
Equality plans for workforces of under fifty people and grants for training contracts. On 9 October the call from the Departament d'Igualtat i Feminisme was published to draw up equality plans in companies and organisations of fewer than fifty people. The Servicio Público de Empleo de Cataluña opened its grants for training contracts.
Loans for the leisure sector and de minimis aid for agrifood cooperatives. The Institut Català de Finances, the public financial institution of the Generalitat, published on 6 October ICF Lleure, working capital loans for leisure companies. On 8 October, the agriculture department brought out ayudas de minimis, small grants subject to a per-company ceiling set by the European Union, for agrifood cooperatives and companies affected in the 2024-2025 season by the persistent drought, high temperatures in pear growing and the dana in El Baix Ebre and El Montsià.
Livestock farmers, beekeepers and councils also get a call. There are also de minimis grants for the beekeeping and rabbit sectors, three lines for lumpy skin disease (loss of income in cattle, other costs and condemned cattle offal), the grants for municipal reading promotion plans and scholarships for music and dance of traditional roots.

Shopkeepers, hikers and a choir take 54,000 of the 73,700 earmarked municipal euros

Three bodies hold 73.3 per cent of the municipal money

The shopkeepers of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia appear with 22,000 euros, the largest amount. On 7 October the town council recorded a grant in the name of the Unió de Botiguers de Sant Sadurní d'Anoia i Comarques and another of 1,500 euros for the residents' association of Habitatges Vilarnau.
Vilafranca del Penedès puts 20,000 euros towards the Centre Excursionista Penedès. On 6 October the town council entered the 2026 sports grant to that body. It is a subvención nominativa, a grant earmarked for a named recipient, which nobody else can apply for.
Santa Margarida i els Monjos shares out 14,550 euros in 5 grants. The Societat Coral i d'Esbarjo La Margaridoia appears in two, an extraordinary one of 12,000 euros and another of 750 for its choral section. There are 1,000 euros for the Societat de Caçadors de Penyafort and 400 for each of two carnival groups, Els Totxos and the Esplai Carnavalístic dels Monjos.
La Granada records 4 agreements worth 15,650 euros. Recorded on 8 October, they go to the Associació Dionysos, with 7,150 euros, to the improvements to a school yard, with 5,000, to Quietfoc, with 3,000, and to El Turó, for mental health, with 500.
Mediona has had no open auction since 5 October. The court auction of a home of 78 usable metres in Mediona, a public sale ordered by a court, ended that day. The Plataforma de Contratación, the official portal where public bodies publish their tenders for works and services, carries no licitación in the comarca, a public tender in which companies bid to carry out works or a service.

From 4 to 11 October the earmarked municipal money was shared among Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Vilafranca del Penedès, La Granada and Santa Margarida i els Monjos, and what was put into the 6 companies that were born fell mostly on Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues and Sant Pere de Riudebitlles. Another was born in Sant Llorenç d'Hortons. Mediona saw its auction close. The package holds no new company, auction, tender or municipal grant for the other 19 municipalities, which share the regional calls with the rest: Gelida, Subirats, Torrelavit, Sant Quintí de Mediona, Olèrdola, Pacs del Penedès, Castellet i la Gornal, Les Cabanyes, Santa Fe del Penedès, Puigdàlber, Vilobí del Penedès, Pontons, Font-rubí, Sant Martí Sarroca, Torrelles de Foix, Olesa de Bonesvalls, Castellví de la Marca, El Pla del Penedès and Avinyonet del Penedès.
