Maresme comarca · No. 4 · Thursday 22 October 2026 · 5-minute read

The Maresme comarca logs 44 new companies, third among 21 comarcas, and Mataró gives 50,000 euros for taxis

The Maresme comarca registers 44 companies from 14 to 21 October, a figure topped only by Gran Bilbao and Costa del Sol among the 21 comarcas covered that day. In Argentona a newcomer starts with 75,000 euros, the most of any, and Mataró city council offers 50,000 euros to adapt taxis.

Argentona gets the 75,000 euro top start-up and Mataró registers 14 at 3,000 each

Mataró accounts for 14 of the 44 new companies, and from Sant Pol to Palafolls only 5 appear
  • Argentona gets the start-up with most capital, 75,000 euros. SUEÑO GAUCHO S.L is registered on 21 October in the BORME, the Official Gazette of the Companies Register, where new companies must be published by law, with 75,000 euros of share capital, the money the partners put in when founding the company. It says it will manufacture, import and export. With a joinery firm of 14,000 euros, Argentona reaches 89,000.
  • Teià gains a football agency and a marketing firm. COMPTE FOOTBALL MANAGEMENT S.L, which represents footballers and coaches, starts up in Teià on the 21st with 42,000 euros (BORME of 21 October), and METRIKA DIGITAL S.L, a marketing firm, on the 15th with 3,000 (BORME of 15 October).
  • Mataró leads on numbers, not on money. The comarca capital registers 14 companies with 42,000 euros, all of them with 3,000: software programming (STARCO SYSTEMS EUROPE S.L, BORME of 21 October), engineering services and electricity brokerage (KILOVATIO CLARO S.L, BORME of 20 October) and swimwear (STROK SWIMWEAR S.L, BORME of 16 October). Across the comarca, 38 of the 44 start with 3,000 euros.
  • Calella, Cabrera and Sant Vicenç add boats, robots and advisory work. NAVEGART NAUTIC EVENTS S.L hires out boats in Calella and CENOVA ROBOTICS S.L sells cleaning robots in Cabrera de Mar (BORME of 16 October). NEXOS MARESME S.L offers advisory services in Sant Vicenç de Montalt with 15,000 euros (BORME of 21 October).

Premià de Mar adds facades, refurbishment and cooperative housing, and Mataró closed a court sale on the 14th

Building and refurbishing outweigh developing
  • Premià de Mar adds facades, refurbishment and cooperative housing. KORA FACHADAS SINGULARES S.L installs metal facades and BUTSU REFORMES S.L builds and refurbishes buildings, both since 15 October (BORME). On the 21st comes BOMA HABITATGE COOPERATIU S.L, which coordinates cooperative housing projects (BORME of 21 October).
  • Sant Pol will build homes and Argentona will make joinery for building sites. AURAS ARQUITECTURA Y REHABILITACION S.L builds homes in Sant Pol de Mar (BORME of 16 October) and in Argentona a maker of timber structures is born (BORME of 19 October). In Montgat, FERROBYTE S.L will sell building materials (BORME of 15 October).
  • Mataró and Sant Vicenç de Montalt each gain a developer. Property will be developed by ESTEPONA LUXURY PROPERTIES GOLF RESORT S.L, registered in Mataró despite its name (BORME of 16 October), and by HABITAT PROJECT STUDIO S.L, in Sant Vicenç de Montalt (BORME of 19 October).
  • Bids on a Mataró flat closed on 14 October. It had 89 square metres plus 6 of balcony and went to a public sale ordered by a court, closed on 14 October on the Portal de Subastas, the official website of the BOE, Spain's Official State Gazette, where such sales are announced.

Mataró offers 50,000 euros to adapt taxis and Catalonia publishes four more grant calls

Only 5 of the 24 grants of the week are open calls
  • Mataró pays for taxis to be adapted for people with reduced mobility. Mataró city council publishes on 20 October in the BDNS, the National Grants Database, a call worth 50,000 euros, the notice that opens the window to apply for a grant, under competitive award, in which applications are compared and the best-scored ones receive the grant. SMEs and the self-employed can apply for 15 working days, the days left once Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are excluded, from when the extract appears in the provincial gazette.
  • Business and Employment publishes its continuity programme. The Departament d'Empresa i Treball, the Catalan government department responsible for business, employment and digital policy, publishes on 19 October in the BDNS the grants for business continuity and second chances 2027-2028. Requirements, amounts and deadlines are in that record.
  • The SOC and Agriculture publish two more calls. The SOC, the Catalan Public Employment Service, publishes in the BDNS on 14 October the 2026 call of the ALMA programme, a Generalitat programme of work placements abroad for young people who are neither studying nor working, and Agriculture on the 16th the grants for irrigation communities after adverse weather events, each one the statutory body formed by everyone who irrigates from the same water intake. Amounts and deadlines are in each record.
  • AGAUR backs language learning at Catalan universities. AGAUR, the Catalan government agency that manages university and research grants, publishes on the 19th the Parla 3 grants for languages, aimed at undergraduates at Catalan universities.
